I wish they let random people on islands when it came to doors open, there's only codes or friends, but I don't wanna wait for someone to join me, or for someone I know to open their gates, I wanna meet new people that have an island 10x better then mine.

I agree! I think having the ability to connect with random visitors would be so much fun and a much easier way to find people who actively play. Sure there are Facebook groups and Discord servers, but an in-game feature would be very cool.
This is my first game so I don’t know much about the old games but I feel like there should be a feature where you can build your own buildings. Instead of building a fake one
