Weighted scoring 101 -Learn quickly decision-making matrix, ranking & prioritization matrix (short)

Welcome to this informative video where you will quickly learn about the weighted scoring method, also known as the weighted criteria matrix, decision matrix analysis, ranking matrix, or prioritizing matrix. This technique is vital for effective decision-making in business analysis.
The weighted scoring method can be easily understood by following these five simple steps:
Define the Objective and Requirements: Begin by clearly defining the objective you want to achieve and the requirements associated with it. This step sets the foundation for the decision-making process].
Grade Each Requirement's Importance with Weights: Assign weights to each requirement based on their relative importance or priority. This step ensures that the criteria are appropriately weighed to reflect their significance.
Identify Alternatives to Achieve the Objective: Explore and identify different alternatives or solutions that can help you achieve your objective. This step allows you to consider a range of options and evaluate them systematically.
Give Scores to Each Option and Calculate Total Weighted Score: Evaluate each option against the defined requirements and assign scores accordingly. Multiply the scores by their respective weights and calculate the total weighted score for each option. This step provides a quantifiable basis for comparison.
Rank Options and Interpret the Results: Once you have calculated the total weighted scores, rank the options based on their scores. Interpret the results to determine the most suitable and favorable option based on your defined criteria. This step enables you to make informed decisions and prioritize business alternatives.
If you find yourself needing to prioritize business alternatives, rank different business solutions, or simply want to learn how to effectively use decision matrix criteria, this video is perfect for you.
