I love him. He is so absurd, but in the best way.

The chemistry between Michael and Colin is awesome, and then their chemistry with the rest of the cast brings it over the top. It's definitely my favorite part of the show. Great job to all of the Cast and Writers!

Bowen Yang was awesome! Like a super-gay, queeny Donald Trump! "I invented it. I discovered it." And thinking he was in Asia! There's a guilty pleasure enjoyed by many American Indians who like the term "Indian" instead of "Native American". Among many other valid reasons I've heard, it also preserves the memory of Columbus's incompetence and foolishness.

SNL has existed for 46 years and Bowen Yang is the first “featured player” to ever be nominated for an Emmy, If he’s a “diversity hire” then the logical conclusion is that diversity hiring is practically miraculous and should be done everywhere for every job.

Thanks for Posting it in its entirety, Weekend Update is the best part of SNL. Bowen Yang as Columbus was hilarious. I discovered Jazz by watching a movie called LaLa Land

Even the camera operator was laughing at Che throwing Collin under the bus on that one.

I love that moment when Colin must have thought the camera had already switched and started laughing 😂

“…and boy was I dizzy!” Omg I’ve never seen Che go all cartoony with his facial expressions before!

Che and the others clearly delight in breaking Colin - and the result IS adorable. And kudos as always to the wardrobe department - that Columbus costume was spectacular.

That was the best weekend update I can remember. Absolute gold from beginning to end.

I like that SNL is able to break that bridge between black and white the way you do. I did it to small level in the mid to late 80's with my USMC black buddies while I was in the Corps. Those were the best years of my life, I wish I was still in contact with those guys. All I had to do was laugh out loud during certain points of lame assed movies back then to start something going, I loved those guys.

there's an added level of humour to Christopher Columbus bit when you know that the Italian word "scoperto" means both discovered and "found out about"
