I don’t shop Temu, not because I’m taking any moral high ground (I save that for US based companies and I still don’t 💩 on creators who might shop or dine at places because if it bothers me that much I don’t need to watch their content 🙄) I don’t shop Temu because when they started I couldn’t turn on KZread without seeing every single creator shilling for them. Didn’t matter what kind of content they were known for…BOOM Temu everywhere. Could not stand it…I’ve been traumatized 😂😂😂 But set me loose on AliExpress and I can do some damage 😁 Finally bought the Cato pattern and 2 sets of eyes from you because I couldn’t decide which color I wanted 😂

I tried painting eyes once. All I can say is you have patience! It’s so fiddly, yours are beautiful, and it’s so nice to see you have lots of orders. That was an awesome box of yarn. Cant wait to see all your creations.

Tbh I started crocheting with temu supplies because at the time I didn’t know if I would keep crocheting since i was a beginner and yes some things on temu are not right to sell but think about shein and ali they all have their flaws but people still buy things so please understand that some people may need the cheaper options for different reasons

I completely agree with you. Just as we get things from the dollar store and like you mentioned the other websites. When people criticize, we have to then criticize where we source everything we own. (I 1000000% agree that them reselling crocheted goods is wrong for the people who did them and wouldn’t purchase or support that) Financially sometimes we don’t have a choice when it comes to the other items (scissors, yarn, stitch markers etc)

With that bee pattern I had the same issue !! The back and forth between HDC and SC was rough on my brain so in one of my videos I said it isn’t market prep friendly and that’s why! So I totally get it.

So true, I didn’t realize artist alley tickets were so expensive until I paid for it. It’s gonna be my first time selling in person, so it’s not the best move to have chosen a con but at least I have half a year in advance to prep. I’m just hoping to get my table fee back haha

I should get one of those tools for getting the eyes nicely attached. I just got some 30mm eyes off of amazon to use on a plush, and they are good and attached. But not fully imbedded in the yarn. There could be a number of reasons. But it is likely that the eyes are just not as locked down as they could be, due to me just using my hands. Luckily the plush is a prototype, so it's not going anywhere but on my bed most likeily when it is done.

Hand pressing is very difficult 🥲 RIP palms, if you’re planning on working with sinker eyes frequently, you can’t go wrong with the $10 jig! It makes my life so much easier

Oh my goodness you’re going to have the sweetest poro 🤭🤭 when I made mine I didn’t have the handpainted eyes so he has plain black ones 🥲but Shurima sparkles are eye catching and I’m sure will look stunning ☺️

as a crocheter, I would never order anything from temu. it's not ethical. they rip of the people that bascially work for nothing. I don't want to support that.

If you look at most craft things you buy, it’s from China. And most likely the same suppliers as Temu. So what do you do, make Jeff Bezos richer, or cut out the middle man. I prefer to use a company that hires employees in my own country but I do get enticed by the cheaper prices of Temu.
