As a small knitting/sewing Etsy business owner, I find your videos helpful. I started watching you with your market videos because I sold at a local farmers market this fall. From display ideas to pricing to what sells well is all helpful. I dont even sell crocheted animals and its still helpful. I did not even know about thermal label printers! I am seriously looking into getting one of those now. All the ink and tape I use and the time it takes to cut out labels could be cut way down and I think less $ in packing costs. I also appreciate the box suggestions in case I do need more of those, although I use bubble mailers mostly right now. Thank you Genna!

I don’t know if you are aware but if you’re gonna start shipping thing internationally look up their laws. Because in the uk it’s illegal to sell plushies or anything with play value unless they’re safety tested. I have no idea if it’s the same if you’re selling internationally to the uk but it’s probably the same and you’d be putting your business at risk.

@@emekennede you’re so lucky in the US because your laws aren’t as strict as the UK 😩 anything with play value has to be tested here. I’ve been making pumpkins, intended as declaration but they hold play value so I have to test them!

Idk how she made them, but vista print is a very common place to get these! However you have to buy bulks😅 it's alright though👍 hope this helps abit Edit: Her care instructions are from canva, you digitally design, buy, and they print + ship 🙂 (same with vista and the sticker place she mentioned)

I don’t know for sure but for care labels I’m assuming you’d use the washing instructions on the yarn you bought to make the item.

Still trying to learn to crochet but it’s so hard to get good yarn in AUS without paying so much $$ 🥲🥲 hopefully I can make my first plushie soon

What do you use to print your shipping labels? Like Pirateship or something?

Hi, I've been trying to make a magic ring with the honey bunny, plush yarn, and every time that I try to tighten it by pulling, it pops and breaks. Could you do a slow tutorial of how you're able to make a magic ring with the yarn or do you have any tips?

How do you go about weight? I have all my weights in etsy, but after i add the box and everything i feel like my weights are always off so I cant preprint my labels, i have to weigh everything after its packaged lol

I would be concern by putting colored tissue paper because if the weather get damp in shipping, it can bleed onto you plushy, since it’s not in a plastic bag before. Love you plushies

hey, how do you think we could print labels without a printer? Cool video btw! Also, could you maybe share the care instructions? I am making plushies but am not really sure how they could be cleaned (I use YarnArt Dolce yarn and fleece polyfill)

The video was so fun to watch! But the printer label is it a sticker or do you use tape to stick it to the box?

Just an FYI, some tissue paper dyes may transfer to your product should it get wet. Maybe use white tissue or place you plushies in plastic bags.
