This vlog was so pure and raw and I could feel every emotion with you. I started to cry when you and max were washing Brody, it’s inspiring to see you find joy in such simple things even when you’re in a difficult place. Just feels like I’m watching one of my besties that I’ve grown up with, trying to make sense of the world and all of the changes it’s brought us❤️

I love that Max saw a hummingbird! I truly believe they are a sign from heaven. I have a tattoo of a hummingbird to remind me of my dad and it brings me so much peace. Thinking of you girl

Your lil talk about how it's different at your lake house 😭🥺🥺 Idk how you do it, but seriously somehow every time you have chats w us it's literally what I've been feeling!!! My grandma passed away a few weeks ago, and she was my last grandparent and now we are in the process of selling the house. It's the house I came home to from the hospital, where I took my first steps, and my cousins and I all grew up in that house at some point in our lives. Keeping the house just isn't possible but I can't believe we won't be able to walk through all of our memories and have our whole family there together. I know things change, we all grow up, and family traditions turn into something new but it's so hard to wrap my head around sometimes! I'm so glad you were able to enjoy some time with family!! At least we'll always have those fun times to look back on and (at least for me) help us think about how we might want to do things with our family in the future!💛

As someone who grew up around all my cousins I totally understand that sad feeling as things change. But now I have my own kids and it's coming full circle. Just know one day you'll be bringing your own littles to that lake house to create their own sweet memories! ❤️

i just want to say how happy i am you have brody. Goldens are the absolute BEST!!!! and he reminds me so much of my golden that we had for 13 years 💛 best dogs ever. He has such a good home and a golden seems like perfect dog for you and max! cherish those moments!!

Loved this vlog!! Also just have to say I relate to what you said about growing up and things feeling different. Like every Christmas growing up felt like I was surrounded by so many loved ones now it's less and less as time goes on. It's a hard feeling to work through for sure.

I know exactly how you feel. I lost my Dad and then my Mom at the height of Covid so we couldn't even get to her and she was calling begging to come home. Literally felt like my heart was ripped out. They were truly my best friends. Spent EVERY Christmas and New Years with them so that's an extra tough time of yearMy heart goes out to you. Your very lucky to have solid loving people around you. Makes you appreciate the little things in life so much more. 💗🦋

I definitely can relate to that feeling of someone missing. I experienced that when my Mom died but now it’s been 30 years since then and I haven’t had those feelings pop up in quite some time. I still think of my Mom but it’s different now.

I’ve been through the loss of 10 relatives since 2015 (and can think of several others I went through prior to that as well) (been to nearly 40 funerals during that time) and I’ve struggled with the idea that I don’t get to see relatives except at funerals and I’d like to change that but COVID has put the brakes on that and plus I’ve struggled with growing apart from friends since we all graduated from HS and I’ve been out 15 years and am struggling to find a peer group I can feel good about belonging to…

I think as I’ve gotten older I also just notice a lot of change and people missing. It def is sad getting older and completely feel it as well
