omggg yesss i just left kind of a similar comment on cater 2 u but beyonce was working overtime during those years, like her solo debut was INSANELY successful i feel like a lot of ppl today forget that or just don't know - thats why all the haters nowadays that try to say she's overrated, etc. rly piss me off cuz she's worked so hard and has remained so relevant for 20 years+ in the industry and she IS probably the greatest living performer and one of the best vocalist of all time

@@iris-xo exactly. Nowadays we complain about her reclusiveness, the lack of marketing directly by her/performances, but she kinda earned it in her early years. Just in the 00s alone she had DC‘s Writings, Survivor and DF, her own DIL, B‘Day & Sasha, multiple movies and tours. Like that’s an insane workload for any performer, but we know Bey strives for excellence, practicing countless of hours etc. She really is one of one.

​@@realityisnotlogical5H was a manufactured group. They did not grew up together and were not friends for 10+ years like Destiny's Child at all. You don't even see them together anywhere since the breakup. It's a different dynamic between members and they had no chemistry together

Lose My Breath was the first song from their final album Destiny Fulfilled which came out in 2004. Every member of the group had already released their own solo projects by this point but they came back to release this final DC album to close out that chapter of their lives

Lose my breath came out 2004. A way to know what year the videos came out is paying attention to Kelly’s Hair. If it’s super short it’s from 1996-2000. If it’s the red hair she’s known for its 2001-2003. If it’s black and long then it’s 2004-2006. Just in case you’re wondering the time of the video releases.

I've never thought about it this way, absolutely genius!

This song indeed came out in 2004 actually, the same year as "Yeah!" and just one 1 year after Bey's debut album. So by the time Bey finished promoting the last single of her debut (I believe it was "Naughty Girl") then she quickly moved on to "Lose My Breath".

Can’t believe Michelle didn’t really like this song?! She said it was TOO pop lol! But it’s such a banger. Also, considering her soulful voice, it’s understandable. However, “Survivor” is the poppiest album in which she debuted!

Yes, there was a crossover between their solo careers & their Destiny's Child era. They took a bit of a break after their 2nd album (I think) to do their debut solo projects & came back to do their 3rd album, which this song is from. And they did have another pseudo-reunion when Beyonce performed at Coachella in 2018.

I noticed that for the 1st time Kelly's alibs in this song and I was like wait a minute that is Kelly singing but they had the camera bouncing to all the members so you did not realize it because there was no clips of her riffing which disappoints me now.
