Because he has this dark side to himself, I think he felt a connection with Wednesday, she doesn't watch her words or actions, like she said, she would do the piranha prank again & she would do unspeakable things to people, Tyler enjoys that side to her I think.

i still think they can end up together, when tyler said "you have no idea whats coming" to wednesday his eyes were teary, because he was forced into this. Because wednesday killed tylers master, I think that would make wednesday his master maybe? or they can cure him. If she ends up with xavier I will like die. But they are perfect for each other, like physco murder and physco = power couple?
