It's as if because there no precedent for his style being champion, then it won't come to fruition. But there really isn't much precedent for his style period, as evidenced by the reaction to his superkick. Also, because WEC is a lower level than UFC. News flash: every champion in the UFC began at a lower level. Pettis has been a prospect.

I miss WEC because they gave you good matchups for FREE on cable. Not like UFC who only show you past fights or preliminary bouts before the PPV. UFC = Monopoly

LOL When did lesner start teaching MMA WWE trade secrets. That kick was hella telegraphed. I mean "bendo" drops his hands then signals Pettis with that foot to the octagon. As that happens Pettis backs up slightly and nods his head. I was at first amazed by the kick but after watching a couple times its clear that this was staged for the UFC hype machine.

I think Maynard would be too much for Pettis. He matches up better with Edgar though.

@snipercodyp11 I watched the fight over again. I guess I can take the kick as something that wasn't staged. Henderson was kinda sloppy towards the end of the fight. He some how looses a fully sunk in rear naked in the 4th and stumbles onto his back in the 5th and he drops his hands too much. Sometimes I over think things.

Pettis lost to Guida then Bendo beat Guida in the title eliminator so it was evident that Bendo deserved the shot, then Bendo won the title.

@jakekiser17 Gray's style puts me to sleep, Frankie isn't going to be able to beat Gray. Gray will lay on top of Frankie for 5 rounds, and he'll try to lay on top of Pettis for 5 rounds as well, hopefully Pettis can slap on a triangle or somehow keep it standing.
