WEBER 32/36 ON A JEEP MUSTANG OR OTHER CLASSIC INLINE 6 CYLINDER ENGINES: RE JET AND HOOK UP

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

In this episode we are covering some information I found on a jeep forum but didn't see on youtube. How to rejet a weber 32/36 for a classic inline 6. This works for jeeps and mustangs but should work for most other cars with similar engines. Jet sizes listed here
Jets
Primary Idle - 75
Secondary Idle - 65
Pump - Pegasus dual pump jet
Primary Jet - 160
Secondary Jet - 160
Primary Air Corrector - 175
Secondary Air Corrector - 185
Should work for 6 cylinder Jeeps and Ford 6 cylinders

If you just need jet info its in the description. This is a base tune so it may require some fine tuning for your specific engine but it will get you up and running. If you need to know how to swap jets in this carb we cover that in the beginning. If you are wondering what needs to happen to run it on a Ford 200 I cover that at the end. Hope this helps you guys with classic American 6 cylinders.

Your 32/36 is a staggered type. The secondary butterfly opens at 60% throttle. So you shouldn't use the silver acceleration squirter for both sides! It's just pooling up on the secondary butterfly and giving you a very rich situation as soon as you go past 60% throttle. You can adapt the 32/36 with the 38/38 gear linkage so they open at the same time.

Sir, The 32/36 is a progressive carb, I played a lot with mine when I was your age, I upgraded my Solex single barrel to the 32 weber on my Renault, First out I can tell you you should never have your power squirter /pump jet spraying in both barrels simultaneously unless it’s a single stage 38 DGAS it was setup perfectly out of the factory to spray only one barrel, That is the reason, that carb will now always bog due to overfueling , Fun fact, ask me how I know 🤭

I'm at high altitude close to 5000 above sea level. I had to make idle air jets bigger and fuel jets smaller on my datsun 620.

I had an 89 mighty max with thr 2.6 and mikuni electronic carb. The 3236 was a simpler and cheaper option than trying to deal with all the California emissions on the factory set up. I was able to use the factory o2 bung in the manifold for a wide band setup and it made tuning an absolute pleasure. Should have never sold that truck.

Can’t beat a Weber when it come to carb for smaller engines. Another good tipis to use a wide band to accurately ensure the jet sizes are correct. Great to see content from Built 👍

Some of these were put on 1.6L's from the factory. Why not put 2 on a 3.3L and fix the crappy fuel distribution issue these intakes are notorious for?

The displacement is big, but the head flows nothing. So it should be plenty big. We unfortunately didn’t get the good head like the Australians and South American folks did.
