Captain America I don’t think that’s it. Mama Mai has been in the states for years. I think she just comes from a place where she didn’t have a lot and she prefers getting things for either free or at the cheapest rates. I don’t think it’s that she doesn’t understand America, but she does seem careless and naive. I think someone needs to check in with her everyday. An adult shouldn’t need that, but some do.

Their “information” was VERY far from the truth! They give plastic surgery for people who NEED plastic surgery. Health care is so terrible in here, that we can’t fathom the fact that in some places (even if the worse off in certain areas) things can be free or discounted for certain people. Their health offer coverage (depending on income) for a family to go to the dentist and treat in accordingly, have fertility treatments, cancer treatment, etc. As far as plastic surgery, they do free/discounted breast implants for women who lost their breast to cancer, face reconstruction to people who had bad burns, etc. The whole “right to beauty” was ridiculous!

I am Brazilian. We do have an universal healthcare system, yes (its concept is awesome but it actually has a lot of issues because of corruption, sadly). But I never heard of free plastic surgery for aesthetic reasons. The system covers any surgery when it's really necessary for your health, not your looks lol

A Right? Brazil, South Korea, Japan, and USA have some of the best plastic surgeons in the world, but I don't know why people still choose non- licensed "doctors". Even doctors and dentists themselves say that no matter what procedure you are going to do (unless emergency), you should always consult with at least 2-3 doctors/dentists to get the best result.

What? I'm Brazilian and I have never heard of free plastic surgery here. Wth? That's some shady backdoor stuff. We do have public health care (SUS) and, although it is necessary and it helps plenty of people who don't have means, it is also notoriously poorly administrated (like 90% of the populations disapproves of it completely). Like, there are neverending lines, crowded hospitals, even problems with equipment and electricity if it's in a very poor area. There are even issues with hygiene sometimes. That's not the scenario EVERYWHERE, but we do have major problems with anything that's publicly funded. You can get plastic surgery through SUS, but not just for aesthetic reasons. It's mostly reconstructive, for cases of deformity, severe burns, reconstruction after a mastectomy, tummy tuck for people with hanging skin, etc... You can't go to SUS and get yourself a boob job, people. This whole segment was myth after myth.
