    I don’t want ww3 no one does but I do believe it is necessary and inevitable because think about it our civilization always strives to be better and that means no commies also our future is space exploration it just is that’s a fact and do you really believe a species developed enough to make first contact with us would risk doing so with a species as divided as us and as corrupt as our comie nations. That is why we must eliminate communism and sadly the only way to do so is war. But yes, of course noone wants wars

    It will be really really expensive too, but that did not stop other wars when it should have. Further, high tech will only initially dominate in terms of numbers. After the stage of destroying a lot of communication and supply infrastructure, fighting for raw resources will start draw the complete population into the conflict. If E-Nukes are used, high tech production is gone, including for the agrarian sector. Surrender may just end in starvation so cease to be an option.

    11:51 the most obvious defense against hypersonic missiles would be an upgrade to the XN-1 LaWS laser the US is using and long distance radar to detect hypersonic missiles early enough to take them down. Laser can shoot fast enough to get many attempts at hitting the missile and a single laser cannon could even get multiple attempts at hitting each missile of a swarm in turn, as long as charging up the laser is fast enough. Of course the laser needs to remain coherent over at least 1000km (I think?) and then still have enough power to contribute considerably to taking down a missile, if not take it down with one hit. I'm quite sure the US military is investigating this option or even are working on it. PS: according to my sources WW3 will actually be fought with Gundams...

  • @Rimasta1

    @@Rimasta1 yeah, as I said. It's just that speed ois the main issue and you can't shoot faster than light. I also said the military most likely looked into it, I didn't say they're definitely going with it cause I have no idea if lasers will be strong enough anytime soon or if it's still just sf.

  • @ostiariusalpha

    @ostiariusalpha

    Жыл бұрын

    The laser merely requires a coherent range of 25km to be effective against a hypersonic missile. The laser alone doesn't need to destroy the missile itself either, it only has to weaken its heat shield enough to let the missile's own velocity destroy it or ablate the surface in such a way as to cause the missile to rapidly yaw, allowing high G inertia to finish it off.

  • @andreweiler2045
    @andreweiler2045 Жыл бұрын

    Only thing you got wrong here is the hypersonic missile technology. ballistic missiles also travel at mach 5 or faster, the difference is that hypersonic missiles can change trajectory mid descent making their flight path unpredictable and therefore nearly impossible to shoot down. ballistic missiles travel in a very predictable ballistic arc and thus are very able to be shot down.

    I’ve has this theory and I’ve been looking for somehwere to test it (this seems as good a place as any): at some point in the future missiles (fired from a jet) will become obsolete. The armour always catches up eventually, and so the weapon will always change and be improved upon. If missiles in aerial combat become obsolete due to countermeasures wouldn’t it be prudent to create a fighter jet that can outmanoeuvre all the others? And if hyper and supersonic missiles are somehow turned into anti-air missiles wouldn’t outmanoeuvring them be more reliable than your standard countermeasure?

    A drone might be the best solution. It could turn, climb and roll without causing the pilot to blackout. It could at least pull manoeuvres a manned jet couldn’t. • @lukefarnham2119

    @lukefarnham2119

    @@ReefzYT A drone would be the next logical step. Also, it does help to have a maneuverable aircraft, the more maneuverable, the more the pilot can take advantage of. The quality of the g suit the pilot wears is also a factor, and how conditioned the pilot is to withstand high gs. Planes now a days are pretty much all maneuverable, fighter jet speaking, but I can imagine how quickly the jet can get to the pilots max g tolerance would play a very important role. It's rate of turn. A drone has no human physical limitations, just those of the airframe. So I would imagine they will be able to turn circles around human pilots. I can imagine they'll have a very advanced array of sensors, so situational awareness will also be impressive. The one advantage I would give human pilots is intuition and experience. It's an interesting time we live in, and only time will tell.

    Actually I disagree with the sentiment. I do think it's possible that it would start with a nuclear strike right off the bat, but I don't really think that it would realistically be the first resort. I do see it escalating into that and really doubt that no nuclear power is willing to take a loss under the chin just from conventional military forces, but an instant nuclear exchange doesn't really make much of sense in every situation - At the end of the day, I would argue that we are self destructive and insane as a species, but not idiots. Instant nuclear exchange is instant loss for both sides. Also on your last point, I thought I heard him say he is excluding nuclear exchanges - I mean that would really destroy the entertainment value of the video, when talking about other types of military conflicts that could happen. World and politics ain't black & white.
