Born and raised in Wichita KS. We had season tickets for cowboys wrestling for 15 years as I grew up wrestling. I love the Cowboys and i am pumped they landed such a good man and incredible wrestler!!!! This is going to be an awesome ride to watch!!!! Bader is a legend!!!!

To a 1972 grad from a 2006 dropout, I’m not saying it will or it won’t happen sooner, but with the portal and NIL, the 4-5 year turnaround window is kind of outdated. Theoretically, they can win it all next year.

Taylor mentioned in his post press conference that he did run it by Cael before ultimately making the decision. He said they wanted him to stay but supported his decision no matter what.

Awesome! David Taylor will approach coaching OSU like he approached wrestling. He will win! I heard him do commentary on live wrestling one time. His attention to detail was amazing. His introductory speech at OSU clearly showed his humility, passion , and personal commitment to family and relationships. He nailed it. He will nail coaching. He will do it the right way.

As a former NCAA wrestling champion, I feel it's necessary to bring attention to a disturbing incident that occurred during the recent match between David Taylor and Aaron Brooks at the 2024 U.S. Olympic Wrestling Trials. I watched the match and witnessed Brooks engage in an "oil check" maneuver, where he inserted his fingers into Taylor's buttocks. This move is not only disgusting but also an egregious violation of sportsmanship and ethics in wrestling. For those unfamiliar with the mechanics of this move, it's important to understand how it affects the opponent. Similar to the technique used to break a pit bull's grip during an attack, inserting an object into the anus can cause a person to lose their power and core stability. This area of the body is incredibly sensitive, and the shock and discomfort can disrupt an athlete's concentration, balance, and physical control. It can significantly impair their ability to perform, giving the perpetrator an unfair advantage. In wrestling, where control, balance, and mental focus are crucial, such a violation is particularly egregious. It undermines the integrity of the match and disrespects the opponent. The move can lead to a loss of physical power, much like the analogy with the pit bull, where inserting a finger into the dog's rectum often causes it to release its grip due to the sudden shock and loss of muscle control. What makes this situation even more hypocritical is Aaron Brooks' public declarations of giving glory to God for his victory. While faith and gratitude are personal and often positive expressions, it is deeply offensive to invoke divine praise while engaging in such unethical behavior. This hypocrisy not only tarnishes Brooks' reputation but also casts a shadow over the sport and the values it is supposed to uphold. When I hear ppl talk about surreal moments, my expectation of that is SOMETHING THAT WAS NEVER EXPECTED and UNIMAGINABLE. How could this be a surreal moment when you went there with the expectation of interviewing him. Putting ppl on pedestal’s isn’t healthy, especially someone in sports. Would u sooner be coached by the guy that’s proven and has all the tricks in his bag, or by the guy 2000 miles from where he calls home that’s unproven as a coach. I hope Penn State doubles down in recruiting efforts, and puts more distance on the field.
