You fools simply don't understand that All Hail King Julien is a slow burn drama like Better Call Saul, you have to wait until the character relationships and story builds. The award winning Club Moist episode where Mort sings about his foot fetish and the episode where Julien builds a border wall to keep undesirables out are some standouts imo, but you have to watch the whole thing to appreciate the revolutionary plot line and Mort's Cthulu esque nature.

The scorpions episode was such a strawman TBH every gun control episode is a strawman because they don't understand how many rules there are for getting, owning, and operating a gun. The rest of this is me just ranting about restrictions. Except the real root of the argument isn't in the 2A or self-defense or anything like that -- the root of the argument is if I want something, and I like having it, and even if that thing is dangerous, if I'm using it responsibly, I should be able to have it -- especially when the people taking the guns aren't giving up theirs first. The 2A is actually supposed to apply to any weapon, not just guns.

please watch more of this show because it's genuinely so good like the writing is amazing after season 1

As someone whose seen the show all the way through, I can say that the payoff for watching the entire show up to the end of All Hail King Julian Exiled will be completely worth the wait. I doubt they'll watch it, but I can confirm, it's worth it for the end of exiled. To quote The Theorizer, "If you were to enter the show at this stage, you'd wish for the end of humanity. No writer, sane or unsane, should conjure such ideas."

Yes, they did. In the short film _Merry Madagascar._ That's why Julien and Santa are bros in the Penguins christmas episode.

I've long had a head canon theory that Julian originally wasn't eccentric at all and became a party animal partially to compensate for underlying/unresolved PTSD after his family were killed by the fossa at some point during his childhood. Despite taking the throne at a young age, he was actually deceptively wise and decided that his subjects needed fun and dance to keep their spirits up. Otherwise, their society would break down from low morale and descend into chaos. This very easily could have divided the lemurs, making them easier prey to pick off. When Marty's group arrived, Julian was determined to take advantage of Alex regardless of Maurice's protests because he knew that a lion (ravenous or not) was realistically their last hope to drive the fossa away for good. This was definitely a big gamble, but it ultimately paid off.

I was obsessed with this show as a kid, so I must explain: The reason Clover isn’t in the Madagascar movies is that the series finale was her marrying the king of the mountain lemurs and moving away to his kingdom. Alex and crew walked in on the wedding reception shortly after the bride and groom departed.

I believe this is the only dreamworks show that is canon. I’m pretty sure the creator of the original series said AHKJ was, I don’t know about the penguins of Madagascar show though

The penguins' show isn't canon cause it makes no sense for Julien to be living in the zoo. It takes place in an alt timeline. AHKJ tho IS canon, and in fact it showed us what the lemurs were celebrating at the start of the first Madagascar movie (Clover's wedding).

King Julien is the best character in the whole Madagascar franchise. I really looked forward to the show when it was first announced.

I love King Julien!! It seems very corny and meant for kids but dang ... At the end it gets really deep and mind opening. It's like there's a hidden message in this show.
