Thanks to Expedia for partnering with us on this video and making our Tasmania road trip series possible.
Jess needed to head back to Australia to have her 12 week Ultrasound so as we awaited the results we had a bit of time to spare so we decided to finally head out to Tasmania, the little island off the coast of Australia.
First up we flew into Launceston to pick up our car rental and hit the road as we made our way towards Cradle Mountain National Park.
There we checked into Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge: fave.co/2D4JNUn
Our time in Cradle Mountain included heading into the national park, having warm fires and hot chocolates as well as heading into the Tasmanian Devil reserve.

Local Tasmanian here! You guys do a terrific job of capturing the beauty of our wildlife and nature! The scenery and health of this video is absolutely splendid. I truly hope you guys did enjoy your retreat! :)
I'm from Tassie and watching all this videos has made me realise how lucky i am to live here, and how we don't realise how spoilt we are as a state. My brothers and i recently did the overland track and we go away often, I'm so grateful to be a Tasmanian growing up in this state and going on so many adventures and doing so many different thing at such a young age. I'm glad you guys enjoyed it.
I saw a short from this vid 6months ago, and instantly knew it was my home, Tassie. If you’re not Tasmanian, you don’t understand. I love how more and more people are beginning to appreciate this Eden we call home. Your video did it justice and I thank you sincerely. A Tasman Peninsula local ❤️
We did an 11- nights round the island road tour in Tassie a few years back and we still longed for more. It is a real paradise and it’s so so beautiful. So beautiful that we actually planned for another trip last year, but due to the outbreak of COVID 19, we had to cancel it. So sad but you bet we will be back even if we have to take the 10-hour flight from Asia. Bless you Tassie..........
Tasmania is beautiful! Love the wombats and wallaby’s.
Loved this! You CAN NOT beat Tassie hospitality, the people are incredible!
Born in Tasmania. Live in Hobart. Travelled most of Aust and would never live anywhere else. Nowhere else comes close to the serenity. Fantastic video. Thank you.

David & Barbara Mielke don’t tell pregnant people what to do seriously
@thomasrichards6245
4 жыл бұрын
@@emmaeriksson7155 Dana says- Yes, because it's much nicer to see them do something that doctors say can harm their unborn baby and just say nothing and hope for the best. They're brand new at this pregnancy thing and they can certainly take or leave any advice they get, but you shouldn't lecture people about trying to help them avoid possibly harming their baby. That's like seeing a blind person walking into the path of a lorry and not warning them of the danger. BTW, she also ate raw sushi, which is dangerous for unborn babies. These aren't little nit-picky things or old wives tales. These are two of maybe a dozen things OBGYNs tell their patients to avoid, like smoking, drinking alcohol, or doing drugs.
@MAKETHINGSCLUB

@@thomasrichards6245 not eating sushi is outdated info as well. There are plenty types of fish pregnant people can eat in sushi. I highly doubt Jess is just doing things without thinking about how it could impact her baby so how about we stop treating pregnant woken like children and let them live their lives without the peanut gallery.

We just come back from Tasmania and we loved it the people are wonderful the heritage and environment is wonderful , beautiful and tasmanians are excellent with tourism they really treat people well, we love Tasmania and tasmanians, Tasmania is really a special place.
I love seeing how excited you guys are over the "winter weather" during your summer! (especially since I'm watching it from the Northern Hemisphere) Hope you guys enjoyed it!!! :)
I am a Tasmanian, I love seeing my state on travel vlogers! That room you got upgraded to is $1000 a night approx! But beautiful!
Great take guys! Have been a regular visitor to Tassie from Sydney for the past 8 years, prior to Covid which made me miss the 2021 trip. Hopefully, by Christmas it will be OK to get there again. Through experience I've found the best time to visit is January and February in respect of more predictable weather. Cradle Mt though is *always* like that, even in the middle of summer. Within 15 minutes you can get a complete change in the weather so, always carry waterproof warm gear with you. The path around Dove Lake is a must and it doesn't present any real difficulty, even for older or totally unfit visitors. Allow between 2 and 3 hours for a leisurely stroll. Can't wait for my next trip there!
The soundtrack to these vlogs are always on point. Keen editing.
It makes me so happy to see you both exploring this beautiful state that I get to live in. You captured Tasmania beautifully, I can’t wait to see more 🙌🏻💛
I live in tassie and your comments made me laugh bc I’m so used to the weather

I really like these style of videos because it makes you feel like you're there experiencing it. I haven't traveled for a while so this is a great way to get a feel again for traveling. Beautiful work.
Love this one! I did my working holiday in Sydney and I went to lots of road trips around NSW while I was there. I loved it even when it was wet and cold, there's something about Australian winter, the deep bluish color and the sound of rain falling on the leaves.. Thank you so much for this video! Reminded me of those nice memories. Hope you could show more of Australia if you guys are planning to stay down there for some time! Love you guys!
Oh my gosh that hot tub with the view is amazing 😍 I hope you all have a safe road trip and happy holidays! 🎄
As A Tasmanian the fact that they visited a island that is usually often forgot makes me feel warm inside the paradise that is often forgotten. 🙂
Thanks for promoting our "back yard" we've been here 9 years and still find it amazing. Quality video as well. Great job.
I love so many of your videos but this was one of the best. Absolutely beautiful.
You're one of the very few channels that i always like their videos before even watching them. You deserve way more views and you'll get them just keep it up, love you guys.
Thank you for doing my home state justice, your camera work captures it beautifully! I live down south past Hobart, but ventured to Cradle Mountain earlier in the year (we got snowed on at Dove Lake too). I couldn't believe it was real, more people need to get out and explore Tasmania (I feel so lucky to live here)!
I really enjoyed your show. Thank you for exposing the beauty of Tazzy to the rest of the world. What a wonderful experience! I walked it right along with you.

There's even more beautiful sights and sound in Tassie. Been there twice, both in winter and summer. Loved it and mesmerise by its beauty. Give it another road trip to appreciate its beauty ;)
I lived in and travelled round Australia for 2 years and never made it out to Tasmania. Now I'm really regretting that 😭 Looks beautiful. Thank you for taking us with you!
I'm watching because I'm planning a trip, very keen now.
Wow, it's amazing. Your guys are so lucky. Thanks for sharing the beautiful views.
As someone’s who’s lived in Tassie all my life, I find it so amusing to hear people from other places talk about it? And like never seeing wild wombats?? They’re literally everywhere lmaoo we’ve got so much wildlife I’m numb to it hahaha. Also always funny to hear their reactions to temperatures, weather and hearing them day the names of things (like the way you said Launceston lmaoooo)
I remember arriving Cradle Mountain Lodge and seeing rain was forecast on the weather board in reception. The person I was with, we looked at each other and said we'd wait out the bad weather. The receptionist laughed so hard at us and said we might be waiting a while because it rains every single day of the year there. HA! And yes, yes it does.😆
That is so pretty 😍😍 Love your guys videos and also congrats with the pregnancy!!
Awwww that little guy was the cutest!! We've only seen wombats in wildlife sanctuary's back home in Aus. That cabin looks like a dream! We love places like that. We've never been to Tassie but have always wanted to. We're dreaming of filming some vlogs there one day when we come home. Those walks look beautiful too, gorgeous footage guys! 👍
We stayed at the exact same room at the Cradle Mountain Lodge, and I was so excited watching you guys enjoy the island state, I feel so nostalgic.

Love this vlog! As an Aussie living in England I was quite homesick seeing our country’s natural beauty. What an amazing place to visit (give me the King Billy suite and I’d never leave). Looking forward to more Aussie trips when you pop back and forth for mum and bub check ups.
I went to Strahan in Tasmania when your driving to Tasmania u go through a beautiful rainforest and if it’s rainy u might see baby eels wash up on the beach me and my dad we decided to save them by throwing them back in the water and in Strahan it’s very quiet and friendly

Hahaha, you guys are as excited to see the wombat, as I was to see emu's in my first vlog. Tassie is awesome, and Bettie hasn't been there yet - so we will definitely be doing a trip there soon too! We are from Melbourne, so the weather here is pretty crazy - but Tassie beats us for crazy unpredictable weather! Snow in late November is hilarious.
