How lovely to see you out with your young son, takes me back about 40 years when i would take my son he's well into carp fishing now and we still manage a few days a year fishing together, I'm mum by the way 🧓

What better way to spend quality time with ur children. Beats watching them sit on devices all day. I love fishing with my stepdaughter and hopefully in a few years my daughter too. She still in nappies 😂

Really enjoyed this mate. I took my14 year old lad to France for a week back in April and we had a great time together, special times. He even managed to net a new PB for me which i will never forget.

When we were kids my dad would take us to the river here in South Africa, while he did his fishing we would Potter about with our rods, and he would give us small tasks to do, mostly meaningless stuff like "wipe the tent" or "who can shine a rock the best" and we sit for hours shining our own little pebbles. We also like fishing with natural baits on the river, so we'd go out catching grasshoppers, crickets, crabs and digging for worms, and like that the day goes by really fast, he'd also let us tie our own rigs instead of doing everything for us, and we'd cast out for ourselves as well, he was there to assist if we got stuck or needed help, but he let us be independent, once we got older the fishing became more attractive to us and now I can't go a weekend without getting some fishing in.

What baits were you using? You mentioned plastic corn at the beginning but later mentioned using fresh bait is king 👍great to watch.
