We went over the Cascade Mountains into western Oregon to find a classic International Scout 2 to bring back to the 406 Garage collection. We knew we would hit a bit of bad weather, but the snow had come down hard overnight and the snowplows were working hard to keep the roads cleared. We made it across just fine in the 4x4 sneaker truck, but chained up on the way back so that we didn't have any accidents

Life protips in this one: always take time to play with a dog (or any animal) and there's no age limit on putting chips on your sandwich!

When we become adults fries on burgers is also a must 🤣
Casey gets an award for the subway sandwich making! He's correct, there's is no other way to make a sandwich. The satisfying crunch of the chips and the facility flavor of the meat and whatever condiments of choice, it's magic.
Going over the mountain during a snow storm seems perfectly logical when there's a good chance of snagging a Scout! "He who snoozes loses"!
Thank you for taking us along for another adventure, Casey.
You know, that could make a great seasonal gig for two people: The first person sells tire chains going uphill and the second one buys the chains at the bottom on the other side.
This looks a hell of a lot more enjoyable than running your ass off doing AAA calls in Southern California with an average day of 10-12 tows in a 12 hour day.
Ben makes a great camera person keep the adventures coming

Yes I agree 👍💯
I agree Casey, No sandwiche is complete without chips.😂
I used to drive a 18 wheeler out west. I can't count the number of times I have seen 4x4s in the ditch, just because they have 4 wheel drive they thought they could drive like they were on dry pavement.

I've put in 22yrs pulling a Reefer OTR and live in the Puget sound area, I know what you mean about the 4x4 mentality, Yup, they can go anywhere alright.... right into the ditch with the rest of the DumbA$$es.......as I drove past them in my RWD pickup......................

@@RiverRatWA57 Same sentiment here... When I was contemplating on which truck to buy for my first vehicle, my Dad's comment guided that decision, "getting 4wd will not only give you 2 more wheels to put your ass in the ditch, it'll give you a helluva lot of extra cost & maintenance if you're not consistently using the extra drive." As I'm not consistently needing that extra umph, my 2wd trucks have served me well over the years.

I put Studded snow tires on our PontiacVibe so my daughter can deliver the Rural Mail. she today, advised the 4x4 Jeep carriers about a steep hill coated an inch of ICE.... the other girl's reply?? "Oh, I have 4 wheel drive, no Problem. " ... ... ... Guess who delivered the whole route in half the time of the Jeep driver? yep, my daughter. Front Wheel Drive with Studded Snow Tires beats a 4x4 with street tires every day.
Fries in a sandwich is a ‘chip butty’ here in the UK, fine dining for any road warrior. The two of you out on adventures is twice as good. Stay safe.
Agree to the chips on the sandwich, makes it that much better!
another tip, rice krispies and chocolate milk is the best cereal ever and your don't have to add sugar!
I had no idea there was that cool off a tire set up option nor did I know about those self winding straps..! 👌🏼
Love playing with the dog!!!
Chips on sammies is THE way to go!
This kind of video is Snow Fun... We want the videos of snowmobiles, snowcats and toboggans... 😄😁😆😅😂🤣
You never disappoint I loved how you was to the point on the call you got at the end and please more snow recovery or as you would call it trips over the mountains and as always be safe 👍
I only want to see more winter trips with Ben to get vehicles if he will put chips in his sandwitch!
Being from the south we live vicariously through people like y'all so every snow adventure possible
That looks like a fairly well maintained scout. It has lots of adventure left in it. Take care and be safe out there.
I'm living by curiously through you and Ben.. And all the guys... Keep up the good work God bless you!!
Enjoyed Lucy at home, sweet pup.
Casey: 'I got the tool, but it's at home, in the other truck ...' 😂😂🤣🤣
Such beautiful scenery
Thank you!
Yes do more of those videos with Ben because you 2 mix so well
yay another Casey and Ben video! 3:49 ALWAYS have time to pet and play fetch with any dog anywhere! 12:50 any Casey/Ben adventures are worth watching!
Up and over Mnt Hood is Great in any season,The Scout is a bonus
Yes to more snow adventures! You know all about snow driving - the most demanding enviroment? Downhill on ice.
Have used that type of chain many times. Worked great. Always carried extra bungee cords with me. You are limited to 25mph with them. I do recommend you inspect them regularly as some of the links will open up. A pair of visegrips and you can tighten the links. I picked mine up from Les Schwab Tire Stores.
Wife said you both are good natured, lol
nice to see scouts in the wild. i am very lucky to work on them every day. looking foward to watching more of your videos
2nd time watching this. It’s still awesome.
Shenanigans for ever with everyone 😂 please
You made it home. Good answer on that call.
Thank for posting all of ur adventures! Love watching and I love the scenery
Good people doing good things
I had a co-worker back in the 70's who put chips in his sandwich. He was from Washington state. I thought it was strange. Now 50 years later you're doing it. Good for you and fun memories.
I like this video. It gives me insight into how to move around safe in the snow next time it snows on Texas.
100% correct on Chips in a Sandwich ! :)
That's a neat trick with the blocks. I'm going to have to use that!
Tell Grumpy chips in your sandwich is great! Also, in the same area try applesauce mixed in mashed potatoes. Sounds weird I know but try it, tastes wonderful.
Yes love it when you go on trips. We get to see more country. Love the videos
I agree chip's in a sandwich is awesome adds extra crunch and flavor
Hell yeah more snow adventure you guy’s make a great team
If the rollback is the 5500 you were talking about it's super easy to make it 4x4. Everything is in to bolt transfer case into truck and plug it in. Ram trucks are built to allow any configuration
A friend of mine had a Scout II back in the early '70's. That was before they coined the term Sport Utility Vehicle, and that class of vehicle stressed the "Utility." It's a shame they don't make them like that anymore.
Catching up on your old videos. Was helping a friend's high school aged son and he mentioned that one of his friends is restoring an old international and he had just gone done to get parts in Oregon. And from watching your earlier videos, I said oh...406 garage, and he was like...yep. How did you know?
Love that snow scenery
I love the winter weather shots. Can’t wait to see some rescues. I really need to get me an old scout.
Fritos and peanut butter sandwich!! 😊 Potato chips on grilled cheese!!😊 Now, I'm hungry! 😂😂👵🇺🇸
Poor life choices have gotten me where I am today. More adventures please.
That was an interesting trip! And the Dollies did good!

I'd love to see him putting the dollies in place.
Very impressed with your work ethic . Those dolly hubs must be high speed ,that great that they don't heat up ,as they must be spinning very fast ,due to the small wheels . Thanks for the drive through the snow .
Tow hitch crazy good, unbelievable secure. Makes life better, job well done !
Great Content and Video Have a Great Day 👍
Good video mate. Thanks for the tip when putting on those tire chains (back onto a block)
Love your adventures
Ben is by far the best passenger that I've saw go with you he's a great addition 🤷♂️😁
As long as you are both safe please do more snow episodes. Wow 6ft 4 thats tall, Im 5ft 7 I thought I was tall lol. xx
I lived in Portland in the mid-nineties, spent lots of time playing in the "Cascade Cement" on and around Mt. Hood. Oregon Is a wonderful state! Still miss it.
I agree regarding the chips. My kids and I call it "Alien Lettuce"!! ha ha
That Was Cool & A Nice Scout, & I Saw Some Chains Like Them Years Ago & Maybe They Were on A Big Lader ? BUT I'M Going To Try To Find Them, Because They Make Sense The Way There Made 👍👍👍👍👍
I've put my chips on my sandwiches, especially Tuna for years! People are missing out!
Just found you by accident.. Thanks for all the good vids keep up the good work!
You guys made that look so simple and easy! The right tools make the job satisfying.
Those dollies are such a surprise. Small wheels spinning really fast for a long time under load. I suppose each wheel has about 500lbs on it.
ALWAYS PUT YOUR CHIPS IN YOUR SANDWICH!!! WAY EFFING BETTER!! 👌🏼
chips on a ham & cheese with mayo is culinary excellence
Hey Casey love watching your videos driving in the snow with your friend, seen you playing with a German shepherd . Was wondering if you know anyone who would want two German shepherds free all they have to do is come get them.
cool trip Casey! My question would be, when you crawled in the side window to get the lift blocks...why didn't you just extend the hitch to get the Scout away from the doors? lol
I agree with Ben. I put veggies on my sandwich. Chips are ate in between bites of sandwich.
My grandma told me they would put chips on their sandwiches in the winter because lettuce was out of season and not available. Chips gave it that satisfying crunch like lettuce did.
I love your adventures. With nominal safety in mind. Sense of adventure.
We got 5 inches of snow yesterday.. the dry powdery crap so when the 40 mph wind came up last night it blew all over the roads.. have had 7 recoveries this morning already.. one was a competitors flatdeck that slid off headed to a call..
You cannot stop living just because it is winter. While in my province winter tires are not mandatory, just over the river in the next province they are. Almost everyone opts to put winter tires on or at least all seasons with the snowflake.
Keep those adventures coming!
chips on a sub sandwich is a necessity! Don't let anyone tell you different Casey.
My only experience of a Scout II SWB was going through a river in Cornwall UK without a roof on it and having to hold my wallet up high as the water came in over the sides, great fun, not my car and I wasn't driving the owner was.
Yes! Go do more snow adventures! "Do as we say, not as we do..." 😂 I want more info on the sandwiches...what kind of sandwich? What kind of chips? I'd totally try that...😊
Yer I'm ok with seeing you two doing more stuff like this! :)
Watching you guys doing anything is always entertaining.!
used to do that with my sandwitches when working in holland , the dutch couldnt believe it . took them 3 weeks to stop laughing and ask about it
Chips on a buttered bread roll lunch at school 60 years ago still do it now. I have been fortunate enough to have done that trip many times in summer and winter, I do prefer summer. Here in Australia now we are just having a very wet summer so far. Great trip great memories. Thanks.
You two boys make a good comedy team. Another fine video. Snow time is 'A OK'. Not so with the music. Man with dog - always good. Thanks.
Tracked rollback would be insane haha
Do on spot chains on the roll back. Same one that are used on school buses, and ambulances. Flip a switch on and just go.

Casey you and Ben get the chance at a "White Christmas" in certain elevations. Those roads do look sketchy but you are professionals and SHOULD be able to negotiate those CONDITIONS!
I know I'm a little late to the party, but on the note of chips on sandwiches.. I urge to you to buy dill pickle chips and put them on your favorite burger or sandwich. You will not regret it. Now back to catching up on the old Casey Ladelle videos.
Thankyou for the slow-mo on the rig at the 2:41 mark! Chips on your Sammy, heck yeah!! Safe Travels!
"Stupid snow adventures" ... oh yes! Keepem coming!
There is absolutely nothing wrong with chips on your sandwich beautiful scenery
So we are going to see more of the two of you doing stuff .... so says the comments below !!!!
Looks like you guys had a good day. Loved the snow pictures. But don’t want any snow in Alabama. Thank you
if you can buy a scout on the other side of the hill...buy that scout on the other side of the hill!
Love your Crazy Adventures. I'm watching from NC wishing for snow so loving your snow adventures even at 12:30 am when I can't sleep!!!
I really like the Oregon site seeing trips. I live in the mountains of central N.M.. We are in extreme drought, 4in. precip for the year to date should be 10in..
Nice to see a little snow on the hills.
I've got your back on the "chip sandwich" 👍👍 only way to go
yes i love seeing you both picking up old rigs rain or shine i live in southern oregon and im impressed
