Great video. One suggestion I have is it would be nice to know how these diets affected your blood work, specifically cholesterol levels. I did the keto diet. I lost 25 lbs and my good and bad cholesterol improved 30% and my triglycerides came down by 100. Love your channel. Keep up the great work.

wow! you went directly to carnivore and skipped paleo diet... i mean, if you wanna simulate the caveman diet, paleo MAY BE the closest thing. you can still get your greens (fibrous carbs) which would better regulate your bowel movement and help with the lethargy. i said "may be" because i don't partake in it, so i don't know much about it. i'm happy with IF, it's been working great for me. i like having protein, fibrous carbs, starchy carbs, fats in my meal... and i don't have to reduce my daily macro portion to lose weight! the fasting does that for me 😀👍🏽

I agree. Some of us have to consider the deeper effects of a diet, such as cholesterol and gastrointestinal changes beyond a brief mention of "poop," which seemed more like an opportunity for a cheap joke. I watched this whole thing, muting the corny stuff, hoping that such an effort in making a video would include a little effort in producing serious information. I could have predicted the basic results they showed.

Been carnivore for 2 months. Ive lost 30 lbs and getting my energy and sleep back. Went into it with pcos and insomnia due to a previous injury and this diet so far has helped both of those. Thing I would add is salt. Good salt. You burn through electrolytes with this diet and you need that salt. So salt your food, drink lots of water. Kick ass Update: I've now lost 61 lbs. Gained muscle. I've had pcos for years and that means zero periods. Now my periods have returned like clock work and on time for the first time in over a decade. Advice. You'll need a good source of potassium and bananas suck. Beet tops work good. Powdered magnesium and good salt. I'm no longer strictly carnivore. I'm primal.. I eat some veggies that help me with my minerals and performance. I now weight lift to tone up and for sleep. I guess it's been a year since I started and I'm 39lbs away from being 100 lbs down. Noone recognizes me anymore. All my health issues are gone. Anxiety and depression gone. Insomnia gone. Now I have a crazy high sex drive and love to cook at home. My new goal is lose 39 lbs, get more toned, fine tune the minerals I need. Keep kicking ass everyone

looking to give it a shot but some things weren't consistent with what is being talked about and what they did a) they didn't add organ meats (vary important) b) pretty much salt only for seasoning (for enhancing taste on top of electrolytes ) c) its very normal to have irregular poops for like a week or two till you detox and your gut gets used to this diet. Be careful if you have a sex partner that's also doing the carnivore diet because I've read that she will become highly fertile. Many testimonials stating that the opposite happened, they said they gained energy and mental clarity and slept much better and sex became better.

Plants are a terrible source of minerals due to phytic acid binding them and humans lack the phytase required to break the phosphorus compounds apart to get those nutrients. Bone broth and eggshells are superior for calcium, magnesium, and other minerals used by bones, while liver is superior for iron levels and traces of those minerals; for potassium, muscle meats give ample potassium as it is intracellular, especially heart meat due to sodium and potassium both being required by the heart in large amounts. It is actually a vegetarian myth that plants are good sources of anything but sugar or constipation. All vital nutrients can be found in every part of the animal, and in superior amounts in organ meats and animal fat and skin. The nutrients in animal products also have superior bioavailability, meaning you absorb it readily without need for conversion. I personally make bone broth or just powder bones and eggshells in a mill and put the powder in capsules for mineral content. In the wild, animals gnaw on bones and antlers to gain the minerals, or swallow other animals whole and gain the minerals from the bones that way. And of course, I use pink Himalayan salt because it's not only very healthy, it's delicious compared to highly refined salt. Sea salt works equally well but I have found it to be a tad more expensive and the pink kind more available. Not telling you what to eat, just making a scientific statement to clear up some misconceptions.

I was in a violent auto accident (truck driver fell asleep coming head on into my lane) breaking 3 cervical bones and having emergency fusion surgery. Couldn’t move anything from my neck down. I believe I made an incredible recovery due to my being on the carnivore diet nearly 2 years prior to the accident. Obviously I’ve had numerous blood tests and not one doctor has called me about any abnormalities in my blood work. I’ve doubled down on the carnivore diet and I bought a freezer and have stocked it with half cow. I’m all in.

Here's why i feel like this didnt work for them: -Usually this diet is for metabolically unhealthy people, and people with diseases. -They work out a ton, and are reliant on carbs to give them extra energy for woorking out. -30 days isnt long enough for your body to change and heal while on this diet minimum is 90 days to recommended is 6-12 months -They both did a carb/sugar heavy diet right before this -Eating the hot grease from the meat makes your stool loose (its going to happen no matter what sometimes, but dont drink the grease. Cold butter should be the only melted fat/grease you should be consuming) -You can have variety on this diet, dont just eat the same things everyday -Electrolytes!!! You need these to stop feeling tired/foggyness/lackadaisical. You tend to expell salt more on this diet so get plenty salt, potassium and magnesium. I feel like these are very outstanding errors that make the diet look bad compared to the result that many others experienced. Remember, Carnivore isnt just a quick diet. It a process of healing that takes time

I do carnivore diet a couple of times per year, usually for 2-3 months at a time. I get much better sleep, have less stress, less gas and digestive issues, and I usually lose 15 pounds each month. I drink coffee for breakfast (no sugar), have a pound of ground beef for lunch, and a ribeye for dinner. Very routine, but like you guys say in the video, the meat is very satiating and simple to plan for. Biggest downfalls for me are when my wife and family want to go out to eat, or if we go out of town.

For the first week of a meat based diet, my stool was very watery due to the lack of fiber and I went daily, but then it dropped down to every other day with small amounts. But I 100% agree the simplicity is nice

To anyone considering the Carnivore diet; i started this diet last november, when i hit 280 pounds (was previously a buff dude, turned into a very pudgy, weak, depressed dude). After 2 months on the carnivore diet, i had the mental clarity that everyone was talking about. I lost 25 pounds. Hell, i even decided to quit smoking after 10 freaking years. Then, i started working out. Im not at 240 pounds, and working out 6 days a week. Ive re-introduced carbs, but have not gone back to eating unhealthy. The point is, the carnivore diet, at least for me, saved my life. Im actually considering going back on it, because i actually feel worse than i did when i was not eating greens/oats/quinoa. Just some insight.

Interesting Video. Really enjoyed it. A couple things I didn't hear you talk about was the need to take electrolytes while starting. You didn't mention the need to use salt. I'm wondering if your fat% to protein was off. There is also quite a few meat options you didn't mention (heard 1 type of steak, 1 type of ground meat, and 1 type of fish, plus bacon). It seemed like you didn't eat salmon much at all. But bison, elk, lamb, venison or also part of the strict carnivore diet. Many people was need to supplement with magnesium too, which would help fight constipation. Once you reach your goals on the carnivore diet, it is very common to slowly add back in other foods. Joe Rogan regularly has some fruit with his carnivore diet for example. Since many vegetable contain chemical defenses to keep from being eaten, you would need to carefully watch what changes as you add them back in. For many people, their skin problems and autoimmune diseases will be triggered again. Also, according to the doctors reporting on this diet, fibers and insoluble foods are what rot in the intestines, not meats.

They aren't necessary, but can be eaten. The fattier cuts of meat, especially ruminant animal meat like beef or lamb, are the most critical for success. Ruminant animal meat is the only safe meat to eat undercooked or raw IF it is handled correctly. And the closer to raw it is, the less degraded the fat soluble vitamins will be. Vitamins are destroyed in heat.

This, Carnivores need more sodium(salt) in the diet to process the protein and fats. In nature, or tribal societies they use the blood for soup or pudding. If anyone recalls the taste of their own blood from a cut, its extremely salty. Its the same of other animals where we'd get this as a source of nutrition, also blood is extremely nutrient rich. The demonization of salt is another pseudo scientific fraud meant to harm the public just like the discredited "bad cholesterol hypothesis".
