Salut les Frenchies. Je suis "américain à Paris". J'ai fait le contraire de vous. Né aux US, suis venu ici à sept ans.
In the early 70s I visited Paris during a very cold Easter. Completely frozen I bought a bun from a Moroccan? seller from a window. It was filled with lots of meat and a very hot red sauce, probably lots of harissa. It saved my life, warmed me up completely. I have never forgotten it. It was delicious.

You and I might’ve been there at the same time. Yes, it was gloriously cold. I was there Easter 1974 and took communion at Notre Dame Cathedral. I was curious if this atheist would be struck by lightning or some other kind of death-dealing method. Nope. I was also curious about how the taste and texture of the communion wafer might differ from the Jewish matzoh. The wafer stuck to the roof of my mouth (just like peanut butter stuck to the roof of Mr. Ed’s mouth, the method by which the simulation of that poor horse’s “talking” was stimulated). Both are not worth eating unless you’re literally starving to death, but at least matzoh can be chewed and swallowed ASAP, without having to wait it out until eventual dissolution. So I survived an Easter communion at Notre Dame Cathedral on Sunday, 14 April 1974, conveniently the last day of Passover, too! If ever was a time for God or G_d to destroyer a non-believer, it was then. Yet here I am, 48 years later, still going strong. I shudder when I reflect upon what a close call I evidently evaded. Not! LOL

@@Hollis_has_questions Yes, it was 74 when I was there. The weather was not great in Europe all summer 1974, lots of rain. My friend and I got a last minute flight to Benidorm last week of August/ first week of September that same year, to finally feel some sun. But that is a different story. (You didn’t go there as well, did you? Lol)

@@Hollis_has_questions Yes we must have at some point. Quite a coincidence I just remembered I took slides of Paris and I still have them. I haven’t looked at them for years. Mainly pics of buildings, Eiffel Tower, bridges etc but who knows, you might just be in the back ground somewhere. What were you wearing? 😁 I know I took one of the Notre Dame. You were probably at that moment inside struggling with the sacramental bread 🥴. (I know the feeling, I was raised as a Roman Catholic). And no lightning storm above either. Lol.

@@elss8717 I don’t recall my wardrobe of half a century ago, sorry. My Italian friend and I picnicked on the Île, visited the Musée d’Orsay and the Musée Rodin, where we saw Celle qui fut la belle heaulmière. (I first heard about her in Robert Heinlein’s SciFi classic, Stranger in a Strange Land.) And we strolled leisurely while eating lots of great cheap street food. Even though I love London and Rome, the intimacy of Paris makes me want to gather that city to my breast for a long embrace. And I’m not usually a hugger. Btw, that cold, rainy weather that you think of as “bad” is my favorite weather and why I love England so much - I was studying in Oxford at the time. It did make sitting on the many Paris benches while noshing a trifle uncomfortable … but that’s why the loveliest of cities offers a myriad of cafés to choose from, beginning with a pastis and followed by coffee to complement our jambon-beurre while engaging in the great sport of people watching. Mon dieu P.S. The only background wardrobe I recall from those years was in the one background scene in which I appeared, as a cheap whore calling for tricks from a second-floor balcony in the French Quarter of New Orleans, in the Louis Malle/Brooke Shields film, Pretty Baby. My wardrobe? - nothing, I was naked! That was in 1977.
This is how I like my travel and tourism videos. Simple, straightforward, personable and entertaining. Thank you and I look forward to more from you guys!

J’adore cette vidéo… souvent quand on est français et qu’on habite près de Paris, on oublie de retrouver cet œil neuf de visiteur, et vous m’avez donné envie de découvrir plein de choses en visitant mes quartiers préférés ! Thanks a lot !!!
Was in Paris in 2003 with a tour group. Did eat a lot of street food in addition to some of the fancier places. Beautiful city, friendly people.
"In my 32 years in the U.S." ? No wonder you're both in Paris now! It's almost midnight here today, and I'm starving with nothing in the fridge, and I'm once again salivating at both of your selections. This has become my favorite channel...and future destnation...one day....
I lived in Paris for 4 years during 1980 to 1984 and very seldom eat out because it was really expensive, but walked all over the Paris for hours 😏I still miss their breads and cheese , we would try a new cheese every week so to know their cheese 😝
Thanks for sharing all these great places that have BIG portions and are actually cheap! I will be going to all of them in Feb! I also love how you guys mention what attraction it’s near by which makes it easier to find! Merci!
Your enthusiasm is so nice ! If you love all this food but cheaper you have to come to Rouen, Normandy :) From my parisian life I'd recommend : - _Aux Castelblangeois_ (rue Saint-Honoré, near the _Louvre_ and the _Palais Royal_ ). As a _boulangerie_ they make all kinds of bread, pastry and food to go but what I loved most was their stuffed little buns (salmon, chorizo, ham, cheese...) - Cheap japanese restaurants with wonderful soups between the _Palais Royal_ and the opera, east of _avenue de l'Opéra_
I watched every single video they made while in Paris, and it made my visit to Paris 100x better.
J’habite Paris depuis 20 ans et j’ai découvert des endroits avec vous , super vidéo merci
I'm a flight attendant and find myself in Paris a lot for short stays and I LOVE all your videos. So helpful! I've been telling all of my coworkers about them. Please keep posting, they're all awesome!!
Had No Idea You Could Find Places Like This In Paris. Food Looks Yummy. Excellent Job & Excellent Video
Love the way you call spring rolls “ Nem” ❤❤,Nem is the real name of spring roll in Vietnam. Nem is one of the most famous dish of Vietnam.
My wife and I will be in Paris at the end of the month and can't wait! We're staying in the Latin Quarter, so thank you for the tips!
I just got back from {aris. I was there for a week. I have been watching your videos a month before my trip and it was very helpful. You provided valuable information in how to enjoy delicious food at a reasonable price. Your suggested places to visit like Montmarte and St. Germaine are accurate and I had a a blast. Thank you so much for the guidance..
Will be there in June thanks for the details and location, great to see an actual information video out there without KZreadrs making it about themselves. We'll done subbed
I’m so glad I found your channel!
Great list. We stop by Caractere de Cochon every time we’re in Paris. Not only is the ham great, the owner is the nicest person. One addition I would make to the list is L’as du Fallafel. Best falafel I’ve ever had.

Why did they eat American food ?
What an amazing mind spirit you both seem to have, I hope a lot of people will see your video!
Excellent video. I love that I can jump from one restaurant to another.
Thank you so much for including affordable eats and for also including what area/station these places are in. I loved this video!
This video was wonderful! I’ve only visited Paris once (back in 2019), but this has me so ready to go back and try out some of the spots. I had the best breakfast quiche at the airport before heading to Barcelona. When I tell you that was the best quiche ever, it sold out so quick and I couldn’t find another place that had that one. However, I came back home and made quiche almost every other weekend.
You two are wonderful! You made me miss Paris… and I’ll watch your videos again before my next trip. Thank you! ❤
I’m going to Paris next year and all your videos are perfect for learning about the city. Simple and informative, I love the channel!
Love it! Just waiting for things to settle down, and a trip back to France from here in Australia is on the books. We found some great places around Canal St Martin, would love to have you cover there. Happily now subscribed.
I love your Parisian sojourns! Wish there was “smell-o-vision” to capture the smells of these places!
Great video, it gave me so many ideias for my trip to Paris. Thank you! :)
Thank you so much! Great couple, so much appreciate the information on the specific names of places and descriptions of the foods! Hope to get there soon!
Great video 👍 Thanks Can't wait to see more 😄
I guess she and I have a different definition of what " street" food is. Street food to me are vendors on the street with moveable carts / units. Most of these places are restaurants. Restaurants are not street food.
I just found your videos and they are fabulous. You are my people. many thanks for keeping me company and showing me fabulous places to eat, wonderful things to do, and generally sharing your lives with me.
Great video! I love street food and I can definitely be satisfied grazing on sandwiches, pastries, and small bites. I haven’t dined in a restaurant while on vacation in years.
Wow food and great info about eating on the go in the big city. Loved It
Great video. Thanks for all your hard work sharing it with all of us.
Lovely tour
Thank goodness. I only watched the introduction and already liked the video. My time in Paris is usually limited and I don’t have the patience for the loooong meals everyone seems to enjoy.
I am so hungry right now! You highlighted the best of simple Paris fast food! Miss it so. 🥖
Love you and the food!! Glad I found you so yes! Keep up the great job 😋😋
You guys are making me sooooooo hungry for these delectable French treats! Bon appetit! 😋

We absolutely love your videos! So helpful as we prepare for our trip to Paris this spring!
you seem to like what you eat so much that it's a real pleasure to see. There are addresses that I didn't know even though I'm a Parisian. thank you and continue to enjoy yourself

If you guys go to the 13th arrdt you should check out la Felicita, it's one of my favourites, cool space and lots of different restaurants inside ! Not far from the Seine, the BNF, parc de Bercy and Cour St Emilion :)
Great video! Thanks for sharing, I took lots of notes!
I am so excited to be coming to Paris in May. Your videos have been so helpful and worth watching. I downloaded your guide and will definitely taking it with me.

Colleen glad to hear you love Asian food! Been in the US for 30 years and still have not lost my taste for our Asian dishes. So will definitely try this place out when we get there in August. Thank you for all the great info! You & Antoine are the best!! I have been researching & reading to get ready for our first European trip. We have traveled extensively in South Americas and Caribbean but this is our 1st time to see Paris and all these places. After out 9 days in Paris we are heading to Dover to catch our 11 day cruise to the British Isles. So we’re pretty excited. How awesome that Antoine is rediscovering his roots again. Love & hugs to both you!
When Colleen says "good stuff" and Antoine "this is good" it means it's really worth visiting 😁
Great video and tips! I will definately visit some of these places on my next trip to Paris.
I had a Notre Dame Apple today at Lacroix Patisserie. WOW. I’ve never tasted anything like it. I’ve been looking forward to tasting it since I first saw your video months ago…. I also toldthemI was there at your recommendation. 😋
Great video! We’re headed there this year and this helped my list!
Thank you! Liked & subscribed! I miss Paris sooooooo much! The ham & cheese sandwiches I had there are among one of my favorites! Who would have thought a plain cheese & ham sandwich could taste so delicious! Club sandwich at Cafe De Fleur- salmon at Apecius!
I so want to go back. The food you showcased looks so wonderful.
Nothing beats a fresh baguette sandwich, yum
