I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed you didn't get the GR86. Your FRS videos is some of the best motorsports docu-series I've ever seen. I've really been waiting for version 2.0 with the GR.

The GR Corolla is one of the few rare times Toyota has made a sporty car on their own that was one of the main criterion for its selection.

I badly want the corolla motor in the GR86. Toyota is "testing" it, but they need more pressure to ditch the boxer.

Just Driven channel mentioned GR Corolla weakness in heat management so probably the cool weather made the performance as enjoyable as you experienced. The brake feel was another -needs improvement - aspect so yes, I'm really excited what Pete & Dave address for the enhancement. Some also mentioned that the seat felt high up, but curious what the stock feel is in comparison to the seasoned drivers such as yourselves

Mannnn, I want a gr86 so bad. I’ve got an NA Miata but I want a car that isn’t 26 years old and still lightweight, rwd, and fun on track.

Very cool change up and I enjoyed hearing your thoughts on all three cars. The idea of a GR Corolla has grown on me. But for now I’ll stick with the BRZ.

Of the GR86 and GR Corolla which felt like it had the most potential for a fun track car? Which can be built to be fast, but most importantly handle well and isn't limited by suspension geometry/design? Not too worried about power, I'm more on the handling side of track life. Thank you for such a great video and a great review of the cars on track.

I just can’t help but feel like Toyota completely dropped the ball in terms of styling for the Gr Corolla It doesn’t look all that different from any other typical Corolla hatchback, any of the newer ones look exactly like the Gr from a distance. Compare that to the 86 or Supra; you know exactly what those cars are from a mile away thanks for the fantastic exterior design Not to mention a fully spec’d out gr corolla runs about the same price as a Supra 3.0. That’s an EASY choice

i don't buy the gr86 hype. asthmatic engine, barely escapes a miata. supra 2.0 in my country is "only" 10k more than the 86. guess i'll save for this

Just from the thumbnail, there is only one obvious choice. I’m tired of KZreadrs and everyone pushing the other two cars cars. The ONLY real Toyota there is the GR Corolla. If someone wants to show the other two off, they need to represent them as they REALLY are, a Z4 and BRZ. I’m tired of the other two being pushed so hard as Toyotas. They are NOT. They will not last or have the reliability of a Toyota or have the true spirit of a Toyota.

@@Japplesnap sadly though it still isn’t a Toyota. Just a Z4 with a different body and even slower than a Z4 because of their agreement. It’s pretty ugly too IMO. The spirit just isn’t there.

Car companies have been working together to make vehicles forever. If it weren’t for these partnerships you wouldn’t have the new supra, or the 86, and they are both phenomenal cars. Quit whining and start driving.

Spoken like someone who knows absolutely nothing about the development of these cars. You're not funny nor interesting.

You can add power to an 86 but you will never be able to make the Supra or Corolla handle like an 86. 500lbs less weight makes a huge difference.
