THAT DIDN'T GO TO PLAN... What was meant to be a fun reverse crossing of Nolan's Creek on the Old Telegraph Track in Cape York turned ALL-BAD very quickly!
Despite taking every precaution in the 4x4 handbook, it just wasn't Jase's day as his prized 200 Series Land Cruiser NOSE DIVED into an unexpected rut before coming to a complete stop in the deepest section of the world famous crossing. Whoops.

How are you guys considered experts when your attempt at fording is slamming into the water and creating a 10 ton barrier? for real. You also could have run a line up through a snatch, and had somebody at it, to run towards the truck, and then attach it the instant they stop, and you get winching within seconds of bogging. You can also pressurize your cabins with an onboard compressor to keep ingress to a minimum. But what the fuck would I know? And you could have done this without a trailer, and just winched that up the bank, and then gotten #2 up whichever way was best. kinetic. winch. with or without trailer. but once again, everyone on the internet is a moron, right? #noonedoesanythingexceptpeopleonyoutube

Simon and jase, yous know what youre doing. No dout, jase definitely too much speed. Probably would of got stuck anyway with the depth and base. I did not like seeing the new bloke get between vehicles in recovery and was definitely a no to jump in and grad the rope/strap like that. I hope it was just the way it was edited, if not yous need to pull him up on that.

too fast. too small a tire..should of got vehicle across then towed the boat across. slow & steady wins. & big tires. v8 dont mean sht. plus ifs is crap. electronics, sensors, not your friend.. computer says no.
I do not understand why such a experienced guy like this would accelerate so fast initially and not just give a steady go.
Let's just call them the Bogged Bogans. For the benefit of overseas viewers, these are not your typical Australians doing 4W driving in remote areas. We are actually intelligent and well educated. This and a few other channels are misrepresenting what it's really like just to get viewers and subscribers. Thats how they make their money. FYI, the Telegraph Track is closed by police after a reasonable amount of rain because it's impassible and to reduce the wholesale destruction of tracks by vehicles like these in wet conditions. There is a perfectly good, graded road that has replaced the track that everybody uses now. You Don't even need a 4WD to get to Cape York anymore.
10 psi and idle through thought you gents would have half an idea 😂
18psi to 12psi makes a world of difference, especially in soft water crossings. Hit the water way too quick! Anyway, enjoy what you do and enjoyed this video!
Way to quick at Nolan’s. Should have crept through

These tough blokes holding their blouses while walking it through 😂🤣
The most memorable videos these guys make are the ones that go wrong. Losing the quad in the croc infested river still holds number 1 position though 😅
For quick sale, Landcruiser 200ser. Very clean. Well looked after.
A lot of comments here disregarding their main reason for not giving it another try was the deeper crossing they'd heard about further up! Good call, do it another tirp.
It was at this point that the business was more important that the adventure.
Nobody ever makes it through Nolan’s charging in like that🤦♂️🤦♂️ All you did was churn up the soft sand Slow and steady is the key here Last time I was there we spent 2 days camped there watching everyone else come through The smart ones hooked up first and just dragged each other after the first 2 That ridiculous big trailer didn’t help either

As I saw Simon getting into position I thought to myself why wouldn't u disconnect the trailer!!! If he didn't have the trailer and had the bum pointed towards the water at the start Jase wouldn't have had a drop of water in the car.
Yes friendship is very important. ❤
Too fast mate. Simon's got the idea right. Or unhook, take the 200 through to use for snatch for the Simon with the van. Send Simon back empty to get the other trailer for Jase's car. 👍🏻
FOR SALE 200 series Land Cruiser 1 professional owner Never been used off road Never been used as a boat Never been used as a jet ski Never had water inside Will be fully detailed and all fresh water trout, prawns and other crustaceans removed before sale $190,000
What do you expect hitting chest deep water at that rate of knots...... easy does it with a tarp across the bullbar might have made a huge difference. At least your sponsors got screen time which will cover the repairs. Cheers
I wonder if the trailer brake controller was activated the trailer brakes after you hit the wall off water... Hope you had it fully turned off/disconnected
Love your channel. Merry Christmas from Papua New Guinea 🇵🇬
Nice! @15:35 reverse recovery whilst both at tow. Pro move gentleman.

U was the only one that knew that u was in trouble...the way you kept looking and everyone laughing
You approached that like a real goose You look like you have never driven before. F'N shocker
Why do you take so much crap with you? Leave the 30m trailer at home! 😀
Since we visited our family in Adelaide in 2019, I am fan at your channel. Unfortunately we can't see your channel at TV in The Netherlands but there is KZread. I own a Land Rover Defender 110 and I'm wandering... do you guys use any navigation systems in your car and if yes. which? Thanks for sharing|
What's the issue with filling the car with water? that was one of the techniques we used as the weight of the water helps hold the vehicle down and stops them floating away. I've used the same technique in a 2 wheel service truck
Watching multiple of this crossing in a row... their the only ones going that way.... was that deliberate to get stuck 🤔
Wasn't Simon supposed to be already in the Dmax b4 you started???
All the experts here 🤣 They had a crack, didn't work like many others who get caught out there. What I don't get is all the talk about prep and making sure everything is in place yet it all went out the window and no one was ready. Like they discussed, Simon should have been in his car waiting, old mate ready in the water and windows up! Not sure why Simon had his van on either whilst knowing he would have to do a reverse recovery? Good effort though, I probably wouldn't take my vehicle through there
You gotta love it
Smart move turning back, but it must of hurt making that call
The show that teaches us how to wreck our 4wd lol
I wonder if we can travel there by boat from Brisbane that wiuld be such an experience 🥰
Aww I saw Uvon ten bold. AWW wish I was ther to ooooh

Another thoroughly enjoyable little episode gents, great stuff. Just one thing though, can you please not use the term “truck” when referring to the unimog, tilt trays and a D-Max all at the same time …. 😆 call it what it is, a ute ! We’re in 🇦🇺 mate, not the 🇺🇸👍😉 And “that’s not what I wanted to happen” …. could kinda see that happening with that much weight on the back 🤷🏻♂️🤔
@Malc664

Totally agree, or even saying car is better than truck
What did you expect?? your mates were just standing there watching you, instead of having the rope out behind you and in the recovery car which was miles away
This show always reminds me of Russell Coight. "Lets see if we can't get these "Galahs" out of here!"
Bugger 😮
Definitely just getting bogged for a bit of content, surely if you've done it before as many times as they say you know to just creep through and don't spin your wheels and you'll just creep through

Probably would of unhooked Si's Trailer too!
what a nice spot / place tho but awesome stuff guys good try tho i agree you don't need a flooded 4wd any time any how big thumbs up ...
Stab in the dark, would putting duck tape around the door seals and using the window as a door save the day????
Windows up access fan on full. Pressurised cab help slow water ingress. Crawl through at slow speed
Was he trying to skip across the water going that fast 🤣
To be very honest, that DMAX has some serious grunt!
Great reference to The Banana Splits,,,,, oh oh Jongo
The kids are betting lolli pops weather they make it or not😆😁😂🤣
These blokes are like toddlers throwing toys out of the cot....
I reckon you woulda got through without a trailer and different drive tactics.. I didn’t expect to watch the chicken video today. Never thought I’d see the day. Well done boys but I reckon you’s might just be a getting a little older and softer. Happens to the best of us haha!
Suggestion. If you are thinking of towing the vehicle out with a rope, to save time, perhaps go in with enough rope already attached, to save time.
Why can they make waterseald doors in the 21 centry???!
That went bad fast.
Take a shot every time they mention tyre pressures.
I drowned my 2010 Hilux their heading North to South. Got through easy crossing South to North using the middle track.
15:59 almost runs over he’s mate!
Smashed a like of course fellas.....but some synchronised shirt lifting, (between all the boys), at less then 1 min, had me thinking! Hahhaha especially after watching a Willem Powerfish episode aye! And then a few mins later talikng about hard stuff!! Haha...be ya self boys! Connotations much?
I would have ditched trailer had a crack been recovey gone back got me trailer then recovey for me hahahaha
What make is the camera car?

Looks like a D max
Love these blokes, but this is the first time I reckon I've seen a bit of ego get in the way. Should've taken old mates suggestion to unhook the trailer, let some more air out, and go a lot slower through it.
The correct place to cross is right behind you or on the right of the crossing where you first walked through. That point sticking out with the big tree on it, go as close to that as you can the vehicle will be deep in on the left but it's not going to float, I've done that crossing 10 times in my shitty old LandRover Discovery D1 Tdi with many of the Patrols, HiLuxes, and Land cruisers "wallowing" on the other lines across. You're right though, only the first three crossings of the day go ok because all the holes in the bottom fill with sand overnight until it gets dug out by the first few. Not a good look for you chaps having to "run the chicken".
why not take the trailer off a winch it across
you should cross swampy first , if you had it with you: less damage
I went in 2008 in a 97 75 series and it looked nothing like this.
Perfect drive and call, that drop off was always going to stop you. Even getting a single vehicle over and trying to get it to get you out would of been to risky.
why didnt you float the boat first then put it back on the trailer and continue? there to much weight for that small to pull.
Nolans always by pass that one. Just a nice swim for me
you can tell the vintage of a bloke from how short his shorts are..
Pfft, professionals 😄
Fancy not taking the van off in readiness for the recovery
I don’t understand what’s with all the trailers on trailers why not just tow the boat and your wouldn’t need the long trailer 🤷♂️

ego's took a beating
If you took it slower Jas, I reckon you were a chance. 10 psi and drive slow, keep traction? Maybe
Well that was cleverera
i would have the tow truck reversed down and then the trailer could have been back closer in the creek and then it would be quicker to connect the tow and it would be a strait pull out
