I think it would be awesome for everyone on the Insert Art team, to do a video, by themselves... showing off their worst and best art, giving creative criticism to themselves , but then also doing a whole new piece for them, to look back on in a years time and see their progress

Yep yep yep. That sort of video would be brilliant but it couldn't have to much of a time pressure element to it. That sort of video would have to be done outside of the normal upload schedule though and cant help but feel like theres always going to be one person that leaves their homework until the last minute lol

Yeah man, the Jane pose was just dripping with cool and the gorilla murder was so dark that I couldn't help chuckling to myself while watching this. As soon as I realised what was on her back I just couldn't help but laugh at the awfulness of Jane killing Tarzan's bestie 😂

I like this NSFW disney thing, u should def make this a series. I think that Jane piece was her best work yet. keep it up...

I think this was phenomenal. Contrary to what other people may say, I think that Ariel is growing by leaps thanks to the short time allotted, and I don't mind her works not getting polished. I'm actually astounded by how good they are. Morgan's a master of creepiness, so awesome work today. I wonder what comes after this 😅

I agree with both sides of that conversation. I do think Ariel is growing by leaps and bounds and what she does already is often really good, but it also kind of stinks that the [INSERT ART] artists are on such short schedules right now that they very rarely get to finish their pieces (and I mean all the artists, not just Ariel, because they all talk about the time constraints and having to bail out of their piece before finishing because of the deadline, seemingly in every video). It feels like the short deadlines are really the problem rather than any given artist. I mean, the Drawfee folk have a lot more experience drawing on KZread and also spent years before that cranking out massive amounts of content on ridiculously short deadlines at Buzzfeed and College Humor, and even they spend more time on their drawings than the hour or two that I've heard the [IA] artists mentioning. Of course, these guys will speed up the more they do it. Right now, they're all still used to being submission-taking artists at home (or whatever) so working at this speed has got to be a very different experience for them...

wow the Pinocchio and Jane ones were SO cool! I know Ariel said she had to rush through it but I think the "less polished" line art made her Jane piece stronger and grittier! Love seeing you all improve in your art and in your confidence with the channel as it grows!

The biggest compliment I can give Ariel is that Jane artwork doesn't look like your normal work - you really seemed to push the feeling of the piece. I really appreciate the rough, textured feeling of pieces sometimes more than the really clean polished ones - for me they convey the atmosphere far more and leave the details up to the viewers imagination. I know the KZread gods don't always appreciate art like this but I love seeing growth and development and trying new approaches so you are all really rocking this art so please do keep it up.

I'm old enough to remember the controversy over the VHS cover with the castle in the background, so this was like a tribute to that.

The white bits of the pixelation cannot be unseen, lol. Loved all of these, but that detail made me laugh.

for those who feel the need to make comments about ariel "complaining about not having time" she clearly states -WITHOUT HER EVEN NEEDING TO JUSTIFY IT MIND YOU- she clearly states that she's used to being a hobbiest who takes however much time she wants on a piece! for the max piece for example she said she was nearly to a point she considers perfect and wanted one to five more hours just to finish it up. she's a perfectionist used to doing art whenever she feels like, NOT UNDER ANY TIME CONSTRAINT. keep in mind that these artists are NOT USED TO BEING KZread CONTENT CREATORS! BUT THEY *ARE* PEOPLE!!! they all have lives and their own processes of creating art. please respect ariel's efforts and her artistry and style because she's actually doing amazing!

The Tarzan foot style is the first thing I said to myself "Yes, she's got the foot right!" But all of these are phenomenal! Childhood ruined for sure! lol Awesome work guys.

Digital artwork is something I love watching people do, although it's not something I am able to do personally. Jane looks so cool! Real Xena vibes.

I have really, really enjoyed watching Ariel evolve over the past couple of months. She has gone from strength to strength. I'd also like to point out that of all the Insert Artists, there is definitely one area where she is by far the strongest - she's very insightful and talented when talking about a piece of art and what makes it a strong piece. I love hearing her analysis and thoughts.

You fleshed out a really solid Jane in just an hour

Max Goofy -- pretty on-point, love it. Pinnochio, nightmare fuel, great! Jane, Yassss! King Trite....Aaaahhhh, must... bleach...my brain...

For Jazza. Give these guys more time!!! Every single video there is some comment about time constraints or not being able to finish or being rushed, the given time is clearly not enough! For Ariel and Morgan, you guys rock! I love your two different perspectives and unique talents

XD I love the "Jiminy Spider" one, as I can very much see it as being part of a Horror-esque Disney variation film or something. A much more darker and twisted version of Pinocchio than the original version was. Love it!

LOVE the inky sketchiness of the lines in the Jane piece, it's a really cool style!

Absolutely love all four pieces, even the last one...maybe...or maybe I'll need therapy for it....who knows....... Okay but jokes aside, I really love all of them and they really show the different styles you can go for (more gritty, painterly or cartoonish). My favourite one is probably Ariel's version of Jane and despite loving how it turned out I also wish we could've seen a more finished version. It's not the first time you guys talked about being slightly pressed for time so I'm thinking a next video idea could be taking these unfinished pieces and actually finishing them! ❤ Thank you guys for the great content, you've become one of my favourite art channels and you're always inspiring me to do art despite the fact that I have a bunch of other things to do 😂❤

I don't fully understand why Ariel always ends up being under time pressure. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely adore your content, I just feel like it's unfortunate we never get to see a fully fleshed out piece of hers. Maybe change something about the internal structure of your channel schedule so she gets enough time to actually finish her work? I would love to see a piece from her that she actually feels completely happy with.

I had a dream last night that I was in a planning meeting for this channel - we agreed that drawings of Ash grown up as different D&D classes would be a good idea. You could literally make my dream come true!

I absolutely loved Ariel's Jane.

Ariel's Jane was the highlight of my day! Freaking awesomeness

Beautifully done. It's great seeing Ariel gain more confidence as an artist.

I actually really love the dark Jimminy Spider but I am kind of a twisted person. I can't show my friends who love The Little Mermaid Magic Trite. Max Goof is so heartbreaking since Goofy is a single dad trying his best. Jane was intense. These were all really great.

The Max Goof art hit me in the nostalgia, because I loved "The Goofy Movie" in my PreTeens. I actually learned to draw Max and Roxanne by tracing them on the VHS cover. Then I figured out how to draw them without tracing. I drew both a lot. My favorite Ship as a kid was Max and Roxanne. I was upset that Roxanne never survived outside of "The Goofy Movie". Apparently in one of the Disney Christmas Specials, there is short animation about Adult Max bringing home a girlfriend from College. So you guys were spot on about him as an adult.

Jane was my favorite. Really came through.

Early Disney had a different vibe so all these feels like it fits... even trident unfortunately... very unfortunately 😂

You guys are doing amazing with each new video. There is a pattern with Ariel though, she is the only one who always complain about not having enough time and has an incomplete artwork in the end.. while everybody else manage to do a semi-finished piece or even a complete one. It's kinda sad because we haven't been able to actually see what she is capable of since she joined.. it's always either line-art or just initial blockout .. Give her time maybe or let her complete an artwork?

I disagree, people hate being treated different like this, I think she would hate it cuz she’s imbracing that she isn’t as fast as them and probably using all that as motivation to push her self everyday to become better , which is definitely happening .

Agreed, but I'd add that it's not just Ariel who struggles with time on the art pieces. In every video, at least one and usually several of the artists mention that they ran out of time and couldn't get to the color or lighting or whatever before time was up. In fact, in the last 2 or 3 videos before this one, I think both artists in each video said they ran out of time and couldn't get to some part of their drawing. I'm sure they'll all speed up as they get used to knocking art out for the channel but, yeah, maybe somebody should relax a little on the release schedule until they do get up to speed because none of them seem to be able to hit the current schedule without having to abandon their pieces 2/3 of the way through and, as good as those 2/3 look, that's always a bit of a disappointment. To me, it feels like the quick deadlines are the issue rather than any given artist's personal time management. It's easy, I think, to look at a channel like Drawfee and think, "Well, they manage to knock out a metric F-ton of drawings in a short time..." but it's also worth remembering that the Drawfee folk worked for years at Buzzfeed and/or College Humor, so they spent years getting used to cranking out massive amounts of content on ridiculously short schedules. And, whereas Ariel (iirc) mentioned in this video having an hour to knock out certain pieces, in Drawfee speed draw videos, you often hear them talking about how long it took them to do their speed draw and, although it's sometimes a couple of hours, it's sometimes a dozen hours or more, depending on what they're trying to do with it. Most of the [INSERT ART] folk haven't been working at that level and might need a little time to ramp up before we start seeing fully finished pieces of art. Until then, it might be worth opening up that schedule and letting them spend a dozen or more hours on something so we can see what they can really do.

There is nothing more comforting then seeing another artist evolve, and there is nothing more satisfying then seeing them do it well. Great job, great vid, great journey to feel a part of. I would really love somewhat of a ‘deep dive’ with Morgan using and explaining the digital art ‘sculpting’ method he often uses. It is exactly how I envision myself wanting to use the digital media but am at a complete loss every time I attempt.
