This is my favorite video to ever come out of the Jazzaverse. It shows these four aren't superheroes, they're not blessed by the Muses, they're just four passionate people supporting each other and forcing themselves outside their comfort zones. Whether you artificially limit yourself to boost your confidence like Morgan did or you yeet yourself into the deep end like Alysha, both are totally valid approaches to any creative endeavor. And the way Alysha used her blending struggles to her advantage with the scales and fairy wings is inspiring. As someone who's struggled with depression and anxiety for my entire life, this is the first time I feel like I can dabble and/or dive and not hate myself for not being perfect immediately. It's time for me to learn (kinesthetically, of course)!

Just saw a contrast...especially since I believe all these artists are from Melbourne or nearby suburbs. My brother currently lives in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane before. Just an opinion.

Amazing!!! It is inspirational that you can still feel that challenge, and uncomfortable-ness that trying a new medium brings (anything new really) but still get through it and making amazing final pieces (in the time you had)! Alysha: Your fish and your crab were amazing! I think when we get out of our own styles it is difficult to judge it because our esthetics are different, but you can definitely believe what the others were saying... it is amazing! Morgan: That Octopus lady and the colour choices were striking and amazing! Loved it! Kat: Absolutely amazing! And Jazza was right it really looked intentional that you had more detail in the eye area! That is the advantage of art! No one else can see what is in our heads so they believe us when we say it is done! This video was great and it inspired me to try to get over my own fears and insecurities and actually try! (I've been sitting on the J-Pak for a while now...) Gotta go dabble now! 😉

I can't choose a favorite, and even if Kat couldn't fully finish hers, I think it turned out super cool. The octochick is gnarly, and the fish is so pretty, especially love the wings, it all feels so whimsical.

I think both Morgan and Alysha made some pretty amazing art considering it's a brand new medium to each of them, and one that I think has a reputation for being difficult to master. I also love how different all three drawings were, showing different strengths from all three artists. Kat clearly has a huge talent for being able to transfer all of the subtle tone and texture variations in a human face onto the paper (I looked at her TikTok too!) Morgan is very skilled at the otherworldly elements that he adds to his art - the suckers on the lady's tentacles and the markings on her skin are awesome. And watching as Alysha filled in the fish scales/skin I was really amazed that she made it have that silvery, almost iridescent shimmer that you do see on fish. I am really looking forward to seeing more from you all and wonder what else you can do with both new-to-you mediums and ones you're experienced with.

Agreed. And I'm sure we'll start feeling more of that connection as the artists get more comfortable on camera and spend more time together. Once they settle in, I imagine they'll start falling into friendly banter and playing off of each other more often rather than sitting in the current "making polite small talk with people I just met at a party" vibe that's happening at the moment (unless the only time they ever hang out is during filming). And, though I know he's there as KZread training wheels for the artists in these early-days videos, I have a feeling they'll start blossoming more once Jazza's not handling all the presenting duties and playing the role of ringmaster/art teacher/dad. As long as he's there, it's probably harder for YT n00bs to feel comfortable jumping in and guiding a segment. Honestly, what I'd love to see is something more like Drawfee speed-draws, where - as you described - each artist takes over the presentation of their section of the video (while the others chime in with jokes and whatnot (rather than just quietly polite compliments) or whatever fits their mix of personalities). And, if Jazza's going to be there, I'd rather he was actually taking part in the drawing, not just being the host who prods them along with questions and keeps the video on track. BUT I get it. They're not used to being on camera yet and so Jazza needs to be the emcee for a while until they are... However they get there, I'm looking forward to seeing these folks getting more comfortable and loosening up a little so, as you said, we can connect better with them.

I like Alysha's fish just with the colour markers, at 20:25, before she added the black lines. It looks awesome at that point, with more of a watercolour paint feeling. Especially for an underwater piece, I don't think it needs the sharp black lines. The line art by itself without the colour would be good too!

Congratulations Kat!!! I’ve been following you back from your KZread days. You are so incredibly talented. Every time I see one of your pieces come together, I am utterly amazed!! Everyone did an amazing job on their pieces. Looking forward to the future of this channel. 😊

Alcohol markers are my favorite. I remember being a kid and hearing legends of markers that didn't get streaky. Those markers were known as Prismacolors. I like Copics and Ohuhu better, but I'm glad I tried them.

Blown away. Jazza/tabletop/vlog are the background to a lot of my daily doings, but you had my undivided attention during the entire composition portion. This is a magical team, and I hope you're ready to hear it in all the ways.

Alysha, you've already grown significantly as an onscreen personality. To all of you: this channel is already keeping my interest just from the collective talent and the clear opportunities for each of you to stretch and grow even more! The dynamic seems positive and healthy, too, which is EXTREMELY important to me. Thank you!

Loving the content guys! Across all the Jazza Studio's material, it's great to have such a wild range of depth I'm the content produced. Noting that the team have mentioned something of their freelance work, is it possible to post a link to a digital portfolios? I know Alesha said she did RPG commissions! I'd love to hear about her (or indeed anyone's) experiences in that space!

Great video, congrats on this new journey you're sharing! I have a suggestion for future videos : would it be possible to add a little logo or the name of the artist performing in a corner during top-down timelapses ? Particularly during the dabble, it was a bit hard for me to understand who was drawing what.

Such a great vid. Watching after ordering the pro kit I’d love to see some more ‘experimental’ stuff like this and if the ‘tool/pen’ that is being used at the time can be named (maybe just an on screen text) would be super helpful to get an idea on what thought process goes behind ‘hey let’s try this pen cause I’m looking for this effect… oh crap that wasn’t what I expected so let’s turn it into this’. Love the content and you all are super charismatic and a joy to watch.
