Ah 45407, my favourite black 5 locomotive, truly looks amazing

for anyone curious, the train's true identity is LMS 45407 "The Royal Fusiliers" a "Black 5" 4-6-0. the *Real* Polar Express is Pierre Marquette 1225, a 2-8-4 Berkshire built by ALCO (NOT Baldwin like the dumb kid in the movie arrogantly asserts) the UK doesn't have any 2-8-4 Berkshire locomotives (though there had been proposals)

No way! 😄 I live just outside of bedale so glad you enjoyed it! It’s a lovely place. We live next to leeming bar raf so we constantly hear the planes going over our house. Tom and Nellies is so good, but unfortunately they’ve just announced that they’ll be closing for good because of staffing issues. So glad you had a good time and great to see the little town shown on camera! 😄

nah, the Michigan train is the real *real* "polar express" (Pierre Marquette 1225 is the train the author based the story off of and the train they modeled in the movie)

I took my kids and grandkids on the one in Miami, fla. Usa a couple of years ago. What a fun experience
