Sorry to see you go. Yes, Joburg can get cold for three weeks a year. For the rest, it probably has the best climate of any major city in the world. Summers are perfect - not too hot and humid. I'm a Joburg-born-and-bred South African now living in Texas. Climate and weather-wise north Texas is a real challenge. Good luck with your new ventures.

I'm going to try to convince her to come to Lagos Nigeria lekki island to be exact it stays warm year warm and way cheaper than Accra Ghana and can get more for your dollar plus I'm African American which don't mean nothing but I wouldn't mind having a African American neighbor who I know CAn hold there own like me

It would have been better to say that you were going on vacation which would have been more accurate!!
Although I never met you and ur kids in person, it's very funny how real relationships with people you follow on social media can feel. I felt the same separation anxiety I normally feel with people I'm attached to in real life as a consequence of seeing the announcement on my phone screen that you're leaving South Africa. 1st I got anxious because I thought something bad happened to you and your family. I got relief only after hearing that you're leaving just for a short time. I like your chanel. It's sincere.
Oh Aunt Ash you must be back in South Africa this week for sure because schools open for new term…unfortunately you’re coming back in peak winter. FYI Joburg is -2 degrees Celsius this morning and Pretoria is 0 degrees…we’re freezing 🥶 apparently even Durban is moerse koud😂

May I ask if you are living there via a visa or have you become a citizen. My wife and I love it there and are awaiting our retirement visa. I think more black Americans are realizing that this is the move to make.

Its stays warm and hot all year round You need to come to lekki island Nigeria its way cheaper and there is a 3 bedroom duplex connected to mines its going for $2600 it will be nice to have a African American neighbor like myself i rented for another year will be hear till September 2025 i just paid in advance

I'm from south Africa...our country is not critical. There is financial stability...no wars. SA is one of the best countries to live in

There is no perfect in Africa or anywhere else but heaven. It's 105 degrees here today, and this is not the hottest day. I don't go out in the summer at all. Just learned there is a thing called heat exhaustion. I'm out at least 9 months out of the year. I hate hot weather and prefer the cold.

Honest I was scare to think she is going to leave Africa but no, it is like wisdom meet adventure style.
