Congratulations on all 50 states, not easy to do! Iowa, or as we call it Ohioa since it reminds us of home, was not what I expected for your last. I achieved superfan status watching this video since I did it wearing my A+K tee shirt while eating an inappropriately large helping of ice cream...the wife says I need help. I don't think so!!

All I can think of when visiting Iowa is "Is this heaven?" "No, it's Iowa." I actually enjoyed it more than I thought I would have! The Field of Dreams is a must do for sure!

We had a blast in Iowa! We wish we could’ve visited the field of dreams, but unfortunately it wasn’t on the RAGBRAI route and we didn’t have the time or freedom to do much more than what we did for RAGBRAI

When we got serious, my wife and I discovered we each had seen 40+ states - and we had 5 states in common in the remaining 10. So we agreed to set vacations to checking off that list. It took 15 years but we did it - it’s a lot of fun and I recommend be in every state/province/whatever for whatever country is your home. :)

Congratulations on your 50th State! We drove through for 5 minutes last year, and we were ready to go back this year for a few days of exploring. The incoming weather made us change plans, so I consider it to still be on the list. You two always make visiting places so much fun! Have a safe holiday weekend 😊

As an Iowan I always want visitors to really enjoy RAGBRAI. And 99% of the time they do. But I was worried this year’s edition - the 50th anniversary - would attract so many return riders plus first-time riders, the abnormally crowded roads & long lines for food might test the patience of a lot of ppl. Then Mother Nature weighed in with one of the hottest rides (if not THE hottest ride?) in history. So I can’t wait to watch the next videos, hoping you had fun & still got the true “feel” of RAGBRAI, Iowa and its people.

Fun that your visit to your 50th state begins where I spent my first night (full time) on the road - the I-80 truck stop. I’m from Missouri so have been to Iowa many times. ❤️

When you drove thru Cedar Rapids, thee are some amazing stops there. The picture of downtown included one of only 2 City Halls in the world on an island. The other is Paris France. Plus, the world largest cereal plant, maker of Quaker Oatmeal and Capt. Crunch! ( and you also drove about a mile from our house.

We will definitely have to come back and do a proper road trip of Iowa! There is so much to see and do there that we just didn't have the time or freedom to do on this trip!

Taco was a little scary to be honest! Anytime I'd hit a bump at highway speed it would jump and swerve all over the road. It was kind of scary! We missed Brisket and wish we could've had him for the adventure!

Glad you made it to all 50 states! I know that truck stop very well, my family and I stopped there many times on our summer road trips to visit family in Iowa and Nebraska. It's such a fun place to explore!

I’m a prairies Canadian and we love our road trips to the US every summer, and I always check out your videos before we go to a new place (we went to Goblin Valley State Park a couple of weeks ago because of you!). We were in Iowa last summer because my 14 year old grandson wanted to go to Clear Lake - he’s a big Ritchie Valens fan. We just missed Ragbrai by a week, so I’m super excited to follow your journey!

I've been in 46 state for 7years here in the US. Stop by in Fella, Iowa it's beautiful there

Congrats! 50 states was the 1st item on my bucket list, started when I was 11. 2nd item was seeing the Sphinx. I made all 50 states in 2018. I will see the Sphinx this Nov. I grew up in Northwest IN (Dyer). In the past 25 years, traffic is awful.

We tried to drop hints in our more recent videos, but we don't like to explicitly say where will be a specific times for personal safety and comfort. It would have been fun to come across each other, though! Wow that is quite a gap! Congrats on your 12th ride! We had a blast out there!

Congrats on 50 states! I hope to eventually visit all 50, and run a marathon in each, but with the marathons it could take me another 20 years. Hopefully my body holds up and lets me do that. I will not be sharing the experience with KZread however...

I always said I had been to 40 states. Then I remembered I went to Iowa with my college roommate and stayed with his grandparents. It was not memorable but 41!

Good question! Emergencies maybe? I wouldn't be surprised if there's a law saying you have to have locks

Did you leave Kona with Anne of Green Gables, lol. Now that you made it to all 50 States, your going to have do some of the Territories, like Puerto Rico, Guam, America Samoa to start.

I’m confused about what happened to brisket? I remember when you were in Canada you had drove New Brunswick most scenic drive then flew to Iowa.

Next goal vist all of the us territories like: Guam, American Samoa, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands, Midway Atoll, Baker Island, Jarvis Island, Kingman Reef, etc.

Am I mistaken, or have you been to Pella, IA? I remember retracing your steps of going to Pella and getting Dutch letters, then going on to Sioux Falls and across SD.
