As a lifelong Kansas resident, I enjoyed chili with cinnamon rolls as part of school lunches growing up but I NEVER saw anyone put the cinnamon roll in the chili OR dip the cinnamon roll in chili!

@AdventuresofAplusK The bags are meant to be returned to the park so that others can use them as well. Normally, if you are on a back country site, they will go around and collect it after you check out. Just a tip for next time.

Did you continue Due north to North Cape in Norway? Does the train continue north? Can you rent a car at Santa's village for the remaining 688 km ?

We unfortunately didn’t have time or budget to go to Norway on this trip. But it’s at the top of the list for next time! Not sure about the train and I’m sure you could rent a car there if you wanted

These are really splendid views from Marcy, especially of Haystack, the MacIntyre Range and the Great range. You had a very beautiful day. I climbed Marcy 6 times via the route you took, including Skylight on 5 of them. It is so much more interesting than the Van Hoevenberg trail, which we descended , except for the astonishing view at Indian Falls. We would swim in the Opalescent Brook on the way to Lake Tear. I always felt a chill at 4 corners. Back in the day ( 60's) there was a lean to there and never more than 10 cars in the Adirondack Loj parking lot.

Chili and Cinnamon Rolls was a highly anticipated and popular school lunch back in the 60’s. Cinnamon roll was 6 x 6 x 3 inches. Makes me hungry just thinking about them. Thanks for highlighting stops in Kansas. Please come back and see what else we have to offer.

Doh! You missed Ledford arches!!! They are less than a 1/4 mile from the last large campsite you passed on your way to Hanson's. I have been going to the gorge for 30 plus years, never tried that restaurant but will def put it on my to do list next time Im in the area. Miguels pizza is phenomenal, put it on your bucket list if you ever go back
