We are a couple who are building our own home from the ground up in the mountains of West Virginia. After living near the city our entire lives we finally decided to sell it all, pack up our 3 kids and live in an RV on our 73 acres while building our own debt free, off-grid house and learning to live a more self-reliant life.
Our house build is documented entirely on our main channel "Wild Wonderful Off-Grid" and our family life vlogs can be found on our secondary channel "Wild Wonderful After Show"

We came out here to build a home, build a farm, build a garden and spend time together as a family….not have a Yt channel and chase subscribers. We have A LOT more fencing to do, gardening, landscaping, and more stonework. We totally understand if you’re bored and don’t watch- that’s your choice- on tv you can watch an entire house/property fixed up/built in one hour episode. It’s our choice to live life as it happens and show it that way. This isn’t hgtv… things don’t happen overnight. It’s just the two of us doing all the work and documenting our real life. We aren’t here to make a flashy, unrealistic tv show. Erin, your videography in this video is the best yet. From the start you incapsulate the most beautiful panoramic setting of the area that you live, bring the adorable cuteness of Ellie and her egg interactions with her Mom and Dad, barely finish staining posts and laying fence, then come in with a tight shot of all of your family hanging out on your deck roasting marshmallows. All the while making your viewers want to participate with you. Just doesn't get any better than that.

How do you do it Erin? All that feeling and warmth that happens when I watch your vids. I know the music selection is part of it. Love it! But it’s also the the little snippets and angle shots like you and Elle walking thru the woods, while she chatters away and you lovingly listen. A true picture of what parenting is all about! Or the the sarcastic snipes that you and Josh exchange but w/ the laugh or chuckles that follow. The cameo shots of Chuck, the animals or the trees or flowers 🌸 it’s a God given gift! Always embrace it! You’re an artist with the camera but your story is about a loving family! 👌 I can’t say I know you in person but I know do know you and your family by the story you tell in your vids. Those baby ducklings are too adorable and Ellie's joy & awe of holding them reminds me of my childhood when my dad came home w/ 7 baby ducklings and surprised us 5 kids. We were as joyful w/ them and laughing as they swam in a kiddie pool or running through a sprinkler . Fun times.

The last three seconds of this video speaks volumes about the love and respect for each other, the look in Josh's eyes says it all. I personally admire your hard work and the fact that you chose to share with us how far you've come...maybe a little envious, had dreams along these lines and I let life get in the way...you guys ROCK!

Awesome video. Great job on the homestead. Getting so close to the 1 Million mark, so that is very exciting too. Seems like just a bit ago, I was watching you clear the trees, along with about 5 thousand other subscribers!! Wonderful to see all the hard work, the development of the property, the growth of the family and the strengthened relationship over all that time.

Not sure if you have thought about it yet Erin but burning all your KZread clips to dvd in the event of data loss would be prudent , you have put so much effort into these little snippets of time they need to be preserved for the great grand children , and that look you gave Josh at the end was priceless 😎

I've 5' garden fence. Deer don't jump mine. I doubt you really need a 7' tall gate. Looks like the fence has 2"x4" openings (mine does too). Rabbits can run right through it. I put 1" opening chicken wire around the bottom to keep them out.
