    I have thoroughly enjoyed Mexico through your eyes. I have been several times on cruises and for my nephew's destination wedding, but none of it compared to your excursion through it by RV. I am salivating at the potential thought of doing the same one day. Love how you started the video at the border and then did a flashback.....really enjoyed watching the highlights of the Mexico adventure.....it felt like when they play "One Shining Moment" after the NCAA Basketball Championship game every year (you can youtube it if you don't know what I mean). Its obvious you guys both really love the country and the people there. Also...I thought this was the best mountain and terrain footage from the RV of all the Mexican VLOGs. Please keep giving us more of this.......it really makes us feel like we are with you there on the journey. I think a lot of RVers would be very interested in what repairs (with good detail) the RV needs after traveling for 5 months in Mexico. It would be a highly watched VLOG. The 18:06 shot of Dennis getting reading to guzzle the cinnamon croissant will be talked about for generations to come. However, it should be noted that his intensity and ferocity as he prepares for the chomp may scare children. With his hyper sophisticated palate....he could make a ton of money being a judge on baking and cooking TV shows. Every TV judge needs a good nickname.....I am putting a trademark on "Dennis the Devourer" immediately.

    Great series, thank you. Good job on vehicle return, it is a bit scary and complicated. Try and target a permanent visa. My experience was they make you get several temporary visas before you can apply for a permanent. You need an address so maybe your friend from quarantine can allow you to use her address. Once you get a permanent, forget ever stopping again or having problems with inspections. Pay once and you are done with renewals. Otherwise you are shelling out several hundred bucks every so often. Stay safe in crazy U.S. with the virus. Good luck.

  • @EatSeeRV

    @EatSeeRV

    4 жыл бұрын

    Yes, if you continue to renew your temporary visa after a year it gives you another three, at the end of the four years total you become a permanent resident. It's an eventual goal but have to take the process one step at a time!

  • @edwardmoran1739

    @edwardmoran1739

    4 жыл бұрын

    @@EatSeeRV Yes, what I did. But you have to apply for permanent, not automatic. Having the address was the big hurdle. But I used a RV park address for the first 4 years temporary. You have to submit a letter in Spanish why you want to be a permanent resident. Interview an immigration officer in Spanish. Not as hard as it sounds. It was $300-400 if I remember. When accepted, card is ready in a week. You need pictures of a tiny size.

    Interesting video. Just a comment about the pronunciation of banjercito, that word is not a diminutive like most ending in -cito but a mix of bank and army (banco/ejército), the emphasis goes in the syllable 'jer' (banJERcito). It is mostly used by the families of the army forces to regular stuff like payment or mortgage, but also to pay some federal stuff like in this case some permits. Saludos.

    We plan to share this in a future video. It's tough to say during our first trip because we didn't really have a "normal month" with COVID lockdowns. We have a much more realistic picture now. - Liz

    Welcome back! My wife and I have followed you and your amigos (including I'm not lost) since the beginning of your Mexico trip. In fact, we purchased our own class c on a sprinter chassis recently and have considered travelling to Mexico. However, I have heard horror stories about the gangs and drug cartels from my Mexican students, but I have not seen any of that come up in your videos. Did you not see any of those types of problems in Mexico? What is your take on all of that? Thx.

    @J G that is true. You do have a higher chance of randomly being killed in the US than Mexico. I think for us the biggest issue was the language barrier and just not allowing ourselves to not have that anxiety because so many people filled our heads beforehand with fear. We loved Mexico and would return. For us we would prefer to fly there and not necessarily RV therez but everyone has their own experience and preferences. ~Stacy~

    You started the Mexican trip with "I'm Not Lost I'm RVing". When they returned they encountered a stressful situation just South of the US border with nonmilitary/nonpolice individuals with machine guns. As you're considering a longer visa I'm sure you did not encounter this sort of situation. Do you have suggestions on how to avoid such situations? Also a video on all the Mexican entry/exit/Internet SIM/fuel/camping/food/medical expenses along with references where viewers can check current pricing for their family/rigs would be very useful. I recall someone in your group mentioned it was quite expensive to tow vehicles and I'm guessing the same would apply to my truck pulling a dual axle RV. I look forward to seeing more of your Mexico content :-)

  • @EatSeeRV

    Yes! And their experience can happen the Mexican government has been cra king down on it. After they left they out a special task force near the borders to help combat cartel activity. Sticking to the toll roads help they ended up on the wrong road on accident. We shared all of these experiences in our videos throughout. And maybe when we return we can do like a crash course. Cost will vary based on your rig and set up. tolls we're actually cheaper than I would have thought returning from campeche all the way to the USA in 2 weeks at around $130 without a tow vehicle. I'd say add $50-$60 more for a tow vehicle.

    Don't assume every incident is related to color of skin. The complete story is rarely told and I had incidents of discipline just like everyone else who needs them. Sharing that incident contributes to the false narrative of systemic racism.

    Did you listen to the entire podcast? Seems like that's unlikely considering your commenting so quickly on this and just assuming that one experience (which also was not his only experience) is not valid or because of his skin color. Your not him, you don't know his life not is it your job to deny his experiences. This discussion and the current problems were experience is from people not listening and trying to justify or deny others experiences because they can't imagine it being true. Sadly this is a reality for many. Are there instances where that may not be true, sure but don't deny it just because it's hard to believe.

    I was looking through all of your comments to see if anybody had made mention of the podcast at all. It turned out to be the last comment and I am so proud of your response! I was so excited to see that you were addressing the social injustices in the United States on your vlog and appreciate you sharing the podcast with us. Just one comment, and not trying to be negative but hopefully enlighten...when you say there are issues...they are not only in the black community. We just have to remember that they are all over the US. The problems and issues that we have are throughout our society and not caused by black, indigenous, or people of color. Thank you thank you thank you! Keep it up y'all. And I wish you luck on your travels back to Mexico.
