    Wow Wow Wow !!! Finally , finally.....and I’ve watched a LOT of these type of videos....a clear and concise presentation of stuff that we like without any BS. GREAT JOB !!!!!! Seriously......GREAT JOB !!!! The best thing about your presentation here is that you don’t go on and on and on about crap details that nobody cares about. I mean it ! You give excellent information which is very useful and helpful. Your channel could be the first one I actually subscribe to......have not done this in the 2 years I’ve been full time RV living. Keep up the GREAT, informative presentations !

    Great video! I live here and there’s so much free public camping. You can camp on the east side like you did for a more desert feel or camp on the west side for alpine splendor. The down side we no longer have a recycling center and Mt. Princeton is much more expensive. One thing you didn’t mention is the awesome river rafting and kayaking! Many breweries and distilleries like you mentioned. Please be cautious in the summertime afternoon when we often get severe thunderstorms especially on mountain peaks. I’m glad you had a fantastic time!

    Great video. I am going to be boondocking through the summer and your video was a lot of help. That area is beautiful! And those "owl hoots" at about 9 min in sounds a lot like the pitch/tone/loudness of what I heard in southern CO a year or so ago. It sounded odd but I shrugged it off and let's just say... it turned out not to be owls. 😳

  • @EatSeeRV

    @EatSeeRV

    3 жыл бұрын

    So much glass... There's no reason. It's simply that they are living a disconnected life. It's the responsibility of us, with clear sight, who care enough to clean up the mess left by behind by sleep walkers. I try not to let it ruin my stays, but it definitely bothers me. This has been a problem for over a hundred years since before the pioneer trails to the west. I'm reading "The Journey of Crazy Horse" a Lakota oral history. The natives of the time before the treaties were very disturbed by the amount of household items and dead animals strewn along the sides of the pioneer trails by early euro americans. - Dennis ✌️

    Just so you'll know and others will know also camping in the bottom of a wash like that is incredibly dangerous. No there isn't any water there now but when there is rain even miles away that could become a torrent and you would be stuck in the middle of it. Never ever camp in one of those areas. Always camp in the high areas near those places. It literally can be deadly.

    What type of cycle do you own and how did you decide which one to buy?

  • @EatSeeRV

    @EatSeeRV

    3 жыл бұрын

    It's a Yamaha Xmax 300 maxi-scooter. The scooter options are a bit limited in the US market. But basically the decision was based on a mixture of curb weight, 2-up comfort, highway speed ability, under seat storage and price. The xmax won because it can store 2 full face helmets under the seat eliminating the need to store them inside the RV, it has a large comfy seat with a passenger backrest option, it'll do 80mph 2-up easily and is as stable as any sport bike I've owned while doing so, it only weighs 397lbs making it perfect to carry on the hitch with our Mototote carrier, and since we bought it used it was very affordable. The other scooters I considered were lacking under seat storage space, way to heavy, too expensive or a combination of negatives. Here's a link to our video about the xmax if you want to get a closer look. 👇 - Dennis kzread.info/dash/bejne/n6ir29qrlNmuppc.html

    Another enjoyable video. In going onto BLM or NF for dispersed camping, have you had any issues or roads you couldn't go down with your rig? And thank you for the PSA...it seems with Covid and the resultant popularity of RV/Van Life, more people are out camping and not treating our precious resource as they should.

  • @EatSeeRV

    @EatSeeRV

    3 жыл бұрын

    Thanks Don! We've definitely seen some roads that we would not attempt in our rig, especially out here in Colorado. But, we've also pushed passed our comfort zone and have realized the rig can handle a little bit more than our nerves can 🤣 Unfortunately, mistreatment of our public lands isn't a new occurance. I fear though that it is being greatly amplified by the recent explosion of new campers. 🤦 I'm pretty much just cleaning up as much as I can around where we camp to try and offset those who don't care to clean up after themselves. I can't even be mad about it anymore, I just try not to let it ruin my stay. - Dennis ✌️

Been researching and planning for almost 3 years now. I relate so much to you 2 because I'm looking for the same type 24ft diesel rig, will pull my motorcycle, and travel with my cat! The question I have for you that is most concerning for me is that I plan to boondock a lot, park my RV and then take my motorcycle out and explore....perhaps up to 6 hours at a time away from my campsite. How do I make sure my cat is comphy while I'm not there? Do you leave windows open? What about potential break-ins if you do? Your thoughts and/or suggestions are surely appreciated. Cheers!!

Unfortunately I don't think this message is being heard by those who need to hear it. I am actually frightened by the amount of public land closure news because of misuse that I have read in only the past few weeks! Something has to and well be done about "campers" trashing public lands. But I fear the result will be that none of us get to enjoy them. I just bought a trash picking claw and a job site push magnet to clean what I can around the camps we visit. - Dennis 😢

    Thanks!! Honestly, I don't remember this exact spot's name! But it was on the Dyrt and I believe Campendium.

    Can you believe we no longer have recycling in the entirety of Chaffee county. Another part of trash, we are getting swamped with boondockers and more of them don’t pack it out if you pack it in. This includes human waste. Becoming a huge problem. If you could please include in videos information on waste(human or trash). Seems self explanatory but it’s lot anymore. Tourists are welcome, just realize some live here full time. That goes for any destination. Much thanks.

    I can't lie - I did have to turn the music down whenever it kicked in and then back up when the talking started. Hopefully this feedback is useful. :) :) :)

    Yes we found the part (waterfall)? It is helpful. We didn't realize it till we want back to figure out what part that happened on. I don't think annoying loud music was the best feedback haha but your comment was!

    Can you tent camp? I hope not, can’t imagine 100’s of people pooping in the dirt.

    Yes you can. I think there is a bucket people use that gets dumped. Most BLM, forest, or public land is available to RVs and tent campers. I don't think 100s are pooping in the dirt :)
