is it just me or are these videos kind of comforting and calming? like it’s just a really nice dude calmly exploring an abandoned space, while making some light conversation. i’m in love with the vibes

I’m from Burlington where this was docked when it was open. Growing up my grandparents were always taking us to the buffet on the third floor. Being under age the only way to get there was to be escorted by security up the elevator. Since the gambling floors were open they wouldn’t let kids take the steps. It was always really cool seeing the doors open when people would get on the elevator on the way up because you could see a good chunk of the gambling floor. Always looked forward to the day I could go check it out but they built the new one before I was old enough. I actually kinda miss it being on the boat. It was different and their buffet was really good back in the day! Thanks for exploring it, really interesting to see all of it. Looks really weird seeing it empty!

How many years has it been abandoned?
I would have carried around one of the wine glasses while wearing a life jacket. If any officials caught me, I'd act like I was left there for years since the boat was 1st abandoned. Just been walking around drunk waiting to be rescued.

Scales were to weigh employees before they went to work and after their shift to make sure they didn’t have stolen cash coins and chips. Maybe food too

That’s not true, what if they drank a bottle of water during their shift? Weight would increase, or took a dump before they clocked out, weight would drop. They don’t weigh employees.
Been on that boat a few times. The best part was going through the locks on the river. It also had a great buffet.
Ok so here from Instagram and I’m obsessed with your content lol. I think you should make more long form videos like these. I love them!!!!

I would've totally taken that diary, lol. It would've been so entertaining reading about someone's life from years ago.
I understand it’s been closed over 10yrs and they’ve since built a new one…why would they leave it abandoned so long? Crazy. Must’ve been so fun back in the day.
You findings are great i would some back stories on the place for us while you explore not trying to criticize your work
I don’t go to casinos. I as you said, the house always wins!

Yeah around 2007/2008 they decided there was no need for casinos to be floating you could build a land-based what was interesting was it left fort Madison and they brought it up around Burlington Gulfport Illinois and just plopped it right there and it still sits there. The only accessibility is buy a raft or a small boat.
My aunt and uncle have a photo they took on this boat! Wow
Cool how they leave everything as is. Time capsules man

Am I the only that thought it looked like an orb flying around about ten seconds after he started entering the actual casino part talking about his friend Rick or whatever
Got lucky Irish guy didn’t see you. Those who knows, knows.
boa pergunta
In the server room I am guessing all the tech besides the broken monitors are worth 10-12k. Servers are pretty expensive.
Just know by 2022 you will be hitting million views remember me okay!

Someone said Iowa required casinos to operate on water, once they allowed land based casinos it was no longer needed. The company moved onto land in 2007

I worked on this casino boat about 15 years and while it is true the casinos were land based they kept this one open until 2007. The land based is still in Burlington, Iowa.
