I have a cinch machine and love love love it, in my kit I got the cinch spirals sizes ranging from .75''- 1.25'', I make note books, dairies, cook books, calendars etc at all different sizes and had great success. I am so glad I chose THE CINCH as my binder machine. LOVE IT.

Its been years since the cinch came out... there needs to be more sizes available in the spiral coils... 1 inch is too large for a lot of my projects

I bought a cinch and didn't realize the holes are different. My cinch makes square holes and I really prefer round holes. It's always good to open stuff when you buy them and not wait a month or longer😭

I have tried over three times to get the first wire loop to look like the rest of the loops once bound. The one at the top squeezes together and doesn't have the space between the loop like the rest. Does anyone else have this problem or have any solutions please. I have wasted so much wire trying to figure this out.

Has anyone had any issues with the Safety clip that keeps the handle secured into place, I’m talking about the plastic black clip with the black fabric strap that holds the handle down. In the video they make it like look it’s just as easy as 1, 2, 3. The clip does not just clip right into place into the frame of the body as they make it look like in the video, you really have to fuss with it, over and over again till you are able to get it into place.

I am having tremendous difficulty getting the circles to close; it's driving me crazy that every single tutorial rushes the single most important step; how you close the circles. I get a kind of circle but then the back doesn't close. Could someone please do a tutorial which actually shows what it looks like when complete? Show us the last page of the book so we can see how the fat coil fits in a small hole. Once in a blue moon it works right, but nine times out of ten I have to fiddle and fiddle I'm following the directions exactly, btw.

Craig... I have just got mine and I had the same issue. Probably by now (passed one year) you already know how to work on it. I even returned mine as I believed the issue was only with mine. I agree that nobody says how to do it..and nobody shows the back. Here's what a tip I got and worked: let's say you are working with a 5/8 w/o... before setting to the exact mark of 5/8, first you need to set a little to the right and then set to the left of the 5/8 inch. This way, the pressure will be higher and w/o will close correctly. Hope this helps others..I had a headache in finding it out and before that I had broken a lots of wire-os ... The brand should aware people about it.

Experiencing this with the Mini Cinch. Many of the professional craft store videos don't show this step or demo an incorrectly flattened coil. Wasn't aware of this detail until I tried to use the Cinch for myself.

Hi there... my cinch is really hard to punch with (not smooth as it was in the beginning)... I have to push really hard... and it takes a long time for it to return to the starting point... it feels like there's toffee or something in it. Can one do something about it?

There might be residual oil stuck on the punches -- I saw someone online punch through a thin sheet of aluminum foil and then some scrap paper to get the oil off, maybe that would help? And check there's no little squares of paper stuck in the machine that didn't make it into the deposit tray, just tip it forwards and they should come out.

I'm having trouble with my brand new cinch 2 not punching clean holes. Before I even got the manufacturing oil cleaned off by punching scrap paper, it was leaving holes ragged. It also wouldn't punch the 20 sheets of light paper as advertised without leaving them wrinkled around the punching area, in addition to the ragged edges. Even when I punched just one sheet at a time, some holes were ragged. Just a faulty machine and I should return it, or is there something I can do to fix it?

Hello! So sorry to hear that. We recommend punching through several sheets of aluminum foil to sharpen the tool. If that doesn't help, please contact customer service at acinfo@americancrafts.com for help. They'll take care of you.

Hi! The best way to get nicely rounded wires when you cinch them is making sure the ends of the wires are flush against the back of the cinching area. They should be standing straight up like a “C”. Not tilted forward or backward.

I recently got a cinch but cannot figure out how to use smaller size coils. I have tried and it doesn't allow for the pages to flip once it is cinched. I cannot seem to use anything smaller than 3/4 as there just isn't enough space for the pages to flip properly. Any advice? It almost seem like the punch holes need to be closer to the edge in order to use smaller wires. I must be doing something wron. Help please

  • @WeR_Makers

    2 жыл бұрын

Hi! Thanks for reaching out. The size of the wire needs to be adjusted depending on the thickness of the materials you are binding. We recommend stacking up all of the pages and covers for your book and then measuring. Add 1/2 inch and that is the size of the coil you should be using. If you need any further assistance please contact our customer service team via email here: info@americancrafts.com. They are open Monday through Friday from 8-5pm mountain time.

I called customer service regarding this problem, and I wasn’t happy at all with their customer service, they care less with my problem. Their answer was, this is how it is, take it or leave it. I am sure that the company isn’t run by the person that answered my call, because if it was, they would be out of business. I think they make some good products, but their customer service by far is the worst.
