Softtails are beautiful nostalgic bikes, that said they can be a major pain in the ass! Suspension, motor mounts, oiling system, and lots of quirks that no other harley has. That being said , there are upgrades you can do at home to make them bulletproof.

D'ont we all look at bikes we want through rose coloured glasses🤓, if we didn't would we ever buy anything? Will be in interesting to see how it turns out.👍

Evo softails are my favorite! Fancy pants lol.. that is a nice ass bike.

I just bought a 2000 Softail Deuce back in November. My first softail and first twin cam. I'm loving it.

Nice pick up. I changed the inner cam bearing to a full complement bearing when changing the plastic breather to a metal breather on my Evo. Also fitted new lifters cam and adjustable push rods. Cheers from down under 🇦🇺 Stan.

I had an 86 softail when I lived in Colorado. That thing felt so great to ride through the Rockies.

Dude, i sold those fat bars on marketplace, met a guy that is putting them on a 1981 sportster! I just cant, lol, he said it’d look cool, i cant judge someone and what they like on their bike but i aint never seen those fatass bars on an ironhead! 😅🤔🤷‍♀️ lol to each their own tho

Nice Evo, I have an 84 FXST.

Nice bike. My first Harley was a 92 Softail Custom back in the late 90’s. I love the sound and the vibration of the EVO engines. I put a lot of miles on it. Due to a divorce I had to sale it. It took a little while to get back on my feet and I bought a 2000 Softail Standard. Yes I know it’s a twin cam and I still have it and I have a bagger also. Love you guys videos. I like how you two give us hell about baggers. Keep up the great content and be safe.

I have a 98 fatboy, dont look much like a fatboy anymore and hasnt in a long time. Ive had lots of bikes over the years. Ironheads, shovelheads, evos, yamahoppers, Hondas. I jist last week bougjt a 2016 103 twinkie streetglide. To be honest i do t like it much. The ol lady wanted to be on the bacl of it across the cou try and it was extremely cheap. It was a theft recovery bike. Bought it from a friend that picked it up at a auction. When my buddy bought it it didnt have a scratch on it. He picked it up turned the ignition on amd hit the button,started right up, he didnt have to fix anything. Anyhow, i dont realy much care for it. My 98 softail has been my favorite bike. Its never let me down, fun to ride, looks good,rides good, super cheap to own. Id like to picked up another softail or to so i can hardtail 1 or 2 of them. I had always planned on hardtailimg my 98 but i jist cant bring myself to cut up a bike that has been so damn good to me. Ive said for many years now. The evo softail was the last bike harley produced that a peraon could get the feeling of what riding a actual harley was like, before harley went and fucked it all up. Have a good one and take it easy!

I picked up a 1951 Harley Davidson WL but it's not starting it needs a full tune up new battery carb cleaning new fluids and tires the last time it was running it was in 96 I was wondering about your opinion if it's a good bike or not ?

Good bike, bad bike, good deal, ripped off. It’s all subjective to everyone. It’s not the bike’s fault it sat for almost 30 years. If the price was fair for the work you will have to put into it, then its a good bike. Any old bike (and especially an ol flathead) is gonna need work. Sounds like u got a sweet project on your hands 😁 happy wrenching! Cheers
