Rumor has it that Takashi Iizuka's teeth moves further away by a millimeter every time an uncooked Sonic game is released.

They should make the rail grinds and springs fit into the environment kinda how the rails in sa2 made sense, like their not floating other than final rush which makes more sense, and they look like each level theme like the vines are rails in green forest or how metal harbor has rails in ACTUAL rails and city escape and such, or how in radical highway you could rail on all sorts of things as long as their there even if it doesnt look like a rail, like the fences and such

As much as I love Silver, I would rather have Blaze be in a game without him so she can develop without relying on him. I think it's important that both Silver and Blaze have a chance to showcase more individuality, especially since they will need to redevelop their 06 synergy anyway. Plus, a lot of people seem to be forgetting that iblis is technically still sealed away inside her 🤷‍♂️ she even remembers the events of 06 in Gens...

I hope they add boost stages in between open zones for frontiers 2, I would love to have a level that transitions both opens zones

I feel like one could animate Sonic Show as sonic telling the news and it would just work with how well your voice would work for sonic in general.

12:26 does that actually mean anything? Saying “now we know that will happen sometime” seems like quite the stretch. And if they ever do they will most likely have to rewrite or let it fade into obscurity due to backlash, which would be a whole other problem. I don’t think anyone wants to see Sonic in a relationship for real, it gets messy baaaad, just look at 06 or pretty much the entirety of Archie, and I’m pretty sure Sega remembers all that quite well so I doubt they would want to touch that again. Having small fan service moments is one thing but to have the main character be in a relationship after 30yrs is something else, if they wanted to make any ship canon they should do something like Vector and Vanilla pretty much no one has a problem with that. Besides come on, we all know Vector would be a dope stepdad for Cream.

DId Sonic Advance 2 technically count as a boost game? Honestly, I absolutely loved the level design and mechanics of Sonic Advance 2 and wouldn't mind seeing something that combines the speed mechanics of Sonic Frontiers and Sonic Advance 2. Maybe something like, keep the character's default movement like it was in Sonic Frontiers where they move at a jog or a slow run, but then enter sprint mode by holding the sprint button that allows you to start building speed. While boosting around is fun, in terms of reach the finish line level design, having to earn max speed felt more satisfying.

I would say the "Sonic eras" are commenting on the mainline series strictly

I’m kinda concerned if what Kishimoto is saying is actually going to happen. From what I understand Frontiers was the first game where he was vocal online with little to no evidence that he did this in the past.

So they consider open zone to be the third generation. Makes sense. I now see why Sonic X Shadow Generations is a thing. If the Shadow stages are going to be in Frontier's engine as some say, then that sort of would make the game a 3-generations-game, but in a more subtle way. Then again, I dunno how open Shadow's stages will really be.

The first episode of the Knuckles Show is on KZread and it's really good. I thoroughly enjoyed their characters here, nothing spectacular in terms of personalities but the fight scene in the latter half was pretty good. I mean they had to make human fighters look good somehow, it feels like Marvel choreography.

I think the best takeaway from this video is that Kishimoto is interested in bringing back those forgotten characters. I would kill to see those characters again in the main canon.

10:24 I think in order to make a compromise between boost lovers and fans of momentum, they should re-re-implement the Sonic CD Peelout mechanic in new modern titles as the boost mechanic: Hold down the boost button to charge out the peelout and then release when full charged to go at top speed. You'll essentially keep top speed for as long as you're as good at the game. I would love to see them do it cause I was disappointed my first time of playing Lost World when they added peelout.

They better give us a Frontiers 2 with Silver and Blaze. As for everything else said, I would love to see the Freedom Fighters again, but I'm worried they'd be ruined. Mighty and Ray could work, but you can't top their Archie incarnations. Lastly...Never give us Sonamy! Not only do I love Sonally, but I also don't think game Sonic needs a romance. Regarding the Avatar, I think it would be a really cool idea to spin them off into their own subseries so that they can go on their own unique adventures without having to compete with Sonic for the role of main character. It could also be an opportunity to experiment around with playstyles and introduce new characters exclusive to this spinoff series.

I hope some enemies are still one shottable in the future. The battle gameplay should still be fast or at least avoidable

Blaze deserves better, she's an awesome female character and shown in 06, faster than the other characters and come on, the female players need some attention and a figure for the young girls, her Black Knight and/or Unleashed moment.

If sonic frontiers 2 come out as the next game in the series I have a feeling it will be called sonic dimensions and have not only a playable blaze like you said but her whole alternate dimension cast of characters will be playable too. Maybe even silver might join in on this one, one can only dream to use his full potential outside of project 06

I wonder if this new game might act as some sort of bridge from Superstars and Superstars 2 (or whatever they call it) while also being it's own sequel to Frontiers since hearing that Metal Sonic, Infinite, and even Mephiles of all villains are gonna return at some point in the near future. Not to mention that also indicates the return of the phantom ruby, which in my defense could bridge some of the gap of whatever the new sequel of Superstars is going to be while also acting as it's own sequ- Wait, wouldn't that hypothetically mean that it could be a multi-sequel game since Metal Sonic, Infinite, and Mephiles are going to make some kind of grand return sooner or later?! Now am I going over myself? I'll be honest: It's a little much. Might be going overboard on this one, but it's a possibility to consider at the very least. 🤔

I could see the End being the remnant or rebirth of Solaris; which is still the most powerful entity in the games so far

I just want a sonic game with more playable characters in the campaign for narrative reasons like adventures, heroes and 06. There's no stories of teamwork and comradery anymore, nor is there opposing sides finding a common enemy. I haven't seen much content of frontiers, but i did hear that sonics character has been ideologically challenged and restored a little.

I hope they include Sonic, tails, amy, and knuckles as playable characters, and it would be nice if all characters had different skins as well.

6:19 While Sonic Unleashed is my favorite Sonic game, I enjoyed the day stages a lot more than the night stages.

That kishimoto comment at 0:28 made me laugh

I would like to see quite a few changes in a potential Frontiers 2. First, an updated and more stilish design for the characters and better animations. Then a non-boost game, with maybe a bunch of special stages with Generations Boost-esque type. I’d like them to improve combat too. I’d like the setting being Blaze’s dimension, with a whole new world and lore to explore for a change. They could find a logical reason to let Sonic and some others to Blaze’s world. I’d like to have 3 or 4 main playable characters, being Sonic, Shadow, Blaze (and maybe Knuckles too). I know this might be unpopular, but let’s have a game without Eggman for a change. Let our heroes face a whole new threat, maybe some foes that threaten Blaze’s kingdom, maybe other elemental based characters related to Blaze. I know that robotic enemies are a staple for Sonic games, then maybe let’s have a threat like Eggman Nega and then some other magical foe. The title Frontiers 2 would fit very well

How combat should work is make it snappy. What I mean by that is fast fighting and striking with a lot of cool poses inbetween. Sonic can already perform homing attacks and even has a ton of new abilities from Frontiers. But i mean for up close hand to hand combat. No quick time events but rather actual combos with well timed button presses. Sonic should be able to zoom into an opponent, strike them a bunch of times, and zip over to the next enemy via homing. So lock on, zoom in, strike, home in on the next one, repeat. That's how i'd do it. Sort of a mix between multiple Sonic games for combat. That's just for Sonic, other characters would have their own style. Knuckles for example could dig underground and pop out to attack from underneath enemies. You should see a trail of dirt on the ground so you know where Knuckles is down there before surfacing again, allowing you to target enemies accurately and even stealthily! You should also be able to jump in and punch a bunch of times, with the camera shaking with each hit and loud pounds and thuds with each impact he makes.

I find it very interesting Kishimoto considers the Adventure games and the Boost games in the same generation. The two feel pretty different gameplay wise. I like both, though I think the Adventure style is more sustainable. It's hard to make levels long enough to justify the boost gameplay. It's likely the reason most boost games have a second gameplay style that's easier to develop. Even Colors, I believe, still had way more 2D sections than 3D.

I am a simple man, so I only want three things from Sonic frontiers 2: 1. More playable time with Tails, Knuckles, amd Amy: I know a lot of people want more characters like Shadow and blaze, but I would rather be Master these three before we start throwing more into the mix 2. For the world/open zones to be more Sonic-y and less generic: the open zone concept would be a lot more fun if it were more like Sonic's world 3. The boss fights have to keep up the same level of spectacle that we got from the Titan fights, as well as give us cyber Sonic again

I'm not opposed to a 'dmc' style of combat when traversing large areas similar to sa2 and 06, but i think it should only be accessible to certain characters like knuckles, shadow, and espio. seeing as they're combat heavy characters. My main complaint with Frontiers is how it was trying to do a 'one size fits all' to the game entirely with exception of super sonic. Create certain styles, layouts, and behaviors in certain scenarios instead of letting everything melt together and be physically awkward (like the cyberspace levels and combat)

If they bring back Shadow with guns, I'd like for him to have a DMC-like combat system where you can do action slides across the floor and gun down enemies in any direction, or do overhead flips unleashing gunfire on anyone below you, etc. I'm trying not to be too edgy, but I feel like Shadow's gun combat could definitely be better if you take a page out of DMC and Bayonetta's books. (Or any other high-action combat hack-&-slash title)

If they bring back the Frontiers combat, I hope they replace Sonic's punching and kicking to just homing attacks. I feel like homing attacks and spindashes fit Sonic more than punching and kicking.
