Hi Keralis, If you want to increase the efficiency of your beavers you need to add some path short-cuts to the far regions such as the aquatic farmhouses. You can see the distance to the town center by the colored line on the path. Additionally, you can use the unemployed beavers as haulers in a hauling post or builders in a builders' hut. Anyway, love the series. Best, Tom

If you throw dead beavers in the river, they might get caught in the power wheels... never thought I'd write that in a KZread comment 😂

I like to run the power underground once I have unlocked the TNT. Blow up where your paths should be, place the power in the channel and put the platforms over them and run your paths again on the platforms

@@spacetree975I run my power that way with the Iron tooth beavers. This set of beavers I end up doing both the underground water beneath the walkways and large windmills running above with power shafts connecting it all.

For your power system, you need to add a tall tower with gravity batteries on top to compensate for the time when there is no wind or water (this makes sure you always have power running through your system) It would also be smart for you to add one or two more builders hut to build all your massive projects. Love the series btw

I think it’s important to have more lumbermill than gear workshop or all your planks get transform into gears and you have no planks left

I may be wrong but I believe that Dams slow the water flow down so your water wheels won’t flow as quickly as they would with floodgates that are completely open

I decided to start my own Update 5 playthough but with Iron Teeth. I got to like cycle 16 and had a BIG boo boo happen... i forgot to lower 1 section of flood gates and accidentally flooded my entire crop farming area. Thus initiating an absolute snowballing of deaths due to hunger. Emergency water pumps too a whole cycle to pump out the farming area again to allow the farmers to get planting again. Im now down to 37 beavers and 100% would have died completely had i not had a crazy stock of 1600 berries. This brings me to something that just happened in the video... dont 100% trash your berry bushes or storage. Its always a good idea to have at least 1 gatherer working a small farm plot of berry bushes. You never know when youll mess up and be saved by having a decent supply of berries. Less so on Folktails and more so woth Iron Teeth, but still its a good safety net to have on hand.

The dry cliffs between your houses and the new water farm area seems perfect for the entertainment district!

  • @IronDino

Keralis has succeeded spectacularly despite his 'novice' nature. One thing that I'd suggest is adding dam pieces behind the flow where the aquatic farms are so that it will remain hydrated in drought/badtide (and prevent the pumps from draining it when you switch them on the first day). More water pumps and water storage is definitely needed closer to the water sources though (perhaps a new district?)

You need to build more builders huts so you have more beavers working on building, you have like 70 unemployed beavers so no wonder the construction takes so much time ;)

  • @zipforth

Insanely good water network! You might be running out of planks so much since you're making a boatload of gears however. They're very plank intensive. You might also need to check your hauler buildings to make sure they're fully staffed, or build more. They would put more of the unemployed beavers to work and make the resource crafters more efficient

Episode 4 already? You must be as adicted to this game as I am, Keralis. In case you have not yet read my previus comments, I'm gonna leave comments with timestamps here as I watch. 0:24 You know what? Yeah! Update 6: The graveyard update! Let's start a laud campaign for it! We can do this! 1:41 Nooooooooo! Use levees instead! You need to funnel the water! 2:09 Yeeeeeeees! You are on the right track. Not nessesaraly the best plan, but it's a better plan. 2:15 aaand not so.. you want to keep as much water in your river as possible. Adding a line for funneling helps a lot. Drying out your river, not so much. 3:20 aaand bad idea. You would acually want to have water in there. It's an irregular shape, but it keeps your irrigation alive. 5:13 Nice windwill array. I don't see any faults. yet... 6:42 I like how you started with expensive floodgates, then just gradually downgraded to a regular early-game dam. It's so backwards, yet understandable. The game does not explain these concepts well. 9:11 Even with how I have played, a long powerline like that is the only practical way to share power. I avoid it by centralizing my factories. 20:00 You know you are doing good, when I don't have much to comment on for a while. 21:19 Uh no. I fear you have gone mad with power. The power of awesome. 26:13 huh? uh! Your're asking advice? It's not a bad idea. Since your out-flow area are contaminated, and you have yet to do something about that, your up-stream reservoir is the next best place to pump your water. The worst being your colony's irrigation water, where most of your pumps currently are. 34:09 It's a good design. But you don't need the platform bridge, just do stairs into the water. 38:35 uhh.. screen just went black. Refreshed. Is this an error in your recording? 38:56 What are you doing? I can't see. is it stupid? I need to know if it's stupid, so I can tell you waht you are doing wrong!! -_- 39:00 Gah! The light! I can see! Once again a good episode. But once again, there are some mechanics you need to learn in order to make your coloy run smoother. You should definetely try to play on hard, once you have learned a bit more.

Just an idea, in my towns I like dynamiting the paths (SLOWLY) that way I can get water throughout my builds. And after just toss a platform over the water and put your path on the platform, works like a charm
