You pose some really good questions, but bottom line, these politicians can't give up their political power. It's an addictive drive. I was involved for time and really senced this force.

It’s pronounced “fine-stine”, not “fine-steen”. It’s a valid topic, but such an obvious error distracts from the point.

Exactly. It annoys me every time I hear it. EI, at least in German, is pronounced "eye," as in "Ich bin EIN Berliner" (for those of us of a certain age).

@@sdmwoodworking Yep, especially for a public figure whose name has been frequently broadcast. It's funny to me that the complaint is about older people's acuity, yet the complaint itself contains such a glaring error. P.S. In my case, my name should be pronounced "sites" but people often pronounce it "seats".
