Remember just a short time ago when she was going on a trip in an EV. She had her people go ahead in an ICE vehicle and park at the charging station so she wouldn't have to wait. At some of those it was the only one actually working. Do you think she felt guilty, absolutely not. She used her, I'm an important administration person, card. That only pissed people off even more. That department is also the one that is changing the way your refrigerator is made, your air conditioner, stove and almost every other appliance we use. I have a friend that's a HVAC guy. The new freon they are forced to use now is flammable . How safe is that for them ? This administration has done everything they can to make our lives more miserable.

The ones being grilled, rarely, if ever provide a straight answer, and those asking the questions do so just so it can be "on the record"...they interrupt with their own pontificating so much, that even if someone could provide a straight answer, they couldn't do so because of all the interruptions...Its theatre, and that's about all that's really accomplished.

Well said, I couldn't agree more. The division in this current Congress is so disputatious that it seems as though they've made it their goal to keep gridlocking each other into a hopelessly gridlocked stalemate. This current congress has been the most unproductive Congress in congressional history. Andy Biggs is my congressman, I've voted for him in every election since he first ran in 2017. But, I'm getting increasingly frustrated with his consistent failure to initiate policies that would be propitious for the district I live in, which he represents - not to mention the fact that he always seems to be at nucleus of all the inner-party squabbling and consistent blame shifting. So many of our congress members seem to be flat out incapable of putting aside their political strife for the sake and greater good of their constituents and it's become an absolute detriment to Americans in every state.

Just for fun and round numbers, let's say 50 states have committed to the program. The program says 500,000 stations by 2030. That's 10,000 stations per state average, in the next 6 years. Or (being generous and easy on math), 1600 stations per state per year OR approx. 5 per day per state. Good luck with that.

California has rolling blackouts in the summer and that’s not gonna get better until they build more power plants. Most of the public charging systems do not work and frankly only Tesla seems to be able to charge their vehicles on a routine basis. Lastly, it’s hilarious because the same person was filmed, trying to charge a vehicle, and they asked her where the power came from and she had to admit that the city was attached to a coal mine so a coal mine was actually charging her vehicle.

Tesla's built a ton of charging stations, but the problem is the power grid they connect to and how they drain it if you had enough EV's and stations on an already weakened grid that flickers left and right. I just had 2 brownouts last week in NJ and we haven't even had any heatwaves hit.

The ER - empty - no equipment, no bed, no instruments. Then the talk over starts listing all the products made from petroleum products. Then the rooms are populated slowly with the products and medical equipment and instruments. People and especially the “Energy Secretary” take for granted what is produced from oil & gas.

From the NEVI program web site itself: There are 33 states that have released solicitations for the NEVI program with 16 of these states already awarding contracts and installing charging stations. Three states, Ohio, New York, and Pennsylvania, have opened their first NEVI-funded charging stations to the public. It was amazing to see these convenient, reliable fast charging stations in action in London, Ohio; Kingston, New York; and Pittston, Pennsylvania. Our Deputy Director, Rachael Nealer, even had the opportunity to put the chargers to the test on opening day in New York! There are now more than 170,000 public charging ports across the country, with an average of 900 new chargers opening each week. So the private sector is bringing on-line 900 chargers (assume charging points) per week and this massive gov't program has done 7 locations with apparently 38 charging points in total. And the goal is 2000 more by the end of the year. The private sector will be adding 46,800 in that same time period!

But hey, it only taxpayer money. Now, in California they want to tax EV owners 30 cents a mile road tax. If you have a gasoline car and get 25 Mpg and gas was California's $5.00 per gallon it would cost you $5.00 in gas to go 25 miles. But, an EV owner would pay $7.50 in tax plus have to buy the electric. Looks like EV owners will be spending a lot of time bending over for the Democrat screw job.
