This word game doesn't make sense unless the information is publicly available. I'm in tech and if data is made available to a third party, that's called "sharing" the data. You don't have to physically hand it to them or otherwise carry out the process without their request for it to be called sharing. That's ridiculous. TikTok needed to be banned ages ago.

Read up on the security vulnerabilities in the TikTok API. It's essentially malware for phones. Credentials can be lifted from the in-app browser and sent anywhere the app devs want. It's a cyber tool disguised as a social media app.

As a Software Engineer and having a PhD in AI, I can without a doubt say that companies with all the sophisticated data-oriented algorithms have access to all the user-data, your parents don't know you that well the way an algorithm knows you nowadays. Also, as someone who has worked as an engineer in Chinese companies, there is always a CCP member (at least one and more than one) at highest position(s) at any public or private organization, so, it is obvious she is lying and saving her job. Regarding the question about master admin which she replied NO, every company has a senior server engineer/admin. So yeah, she saying No is absurd and utter non-sense.

My opinion: as software engineer I firmly disagree with your statements. Our field is built on top of data protection. You will not find any serious technology that do not protect data even from the developers. If you're talking about a really small startup of 2 or 3 people I understand, otherwise I gotta wonder if you're really a PhD in AI.

This is precisely why a cottage industry of dissecting TikTok content has arisen here on KZread. There is no need to use TikTok, when others are already curating it for you. Give it another 5 years, and it will be Democrat Senators calling for the restriction/elimination of TikTok. Why? TikTok is the #1 provider of informational fuel for the MGTOW movement. In another 5 years, there will be an abundance of leftover women in the West; women who render themselves un-marriageable via their documented behavior on TikTok. These leftover women will demand this of their Dem Senators, particularly the female ones. You can already pencil-in Pocahontas as leading the charge.

But lie by omission is that those "strict access controls" allow for user data to be given to the CCP. She never specified what those "strict access controls" are. Sure they are strict. They allow only certain people to have access. And that access is enabled for CCP members, or for people that act as a conduit to the CCP members.
