    Mudryk's confidence is certainly low, and he needs to be better on the ball. At the same time, he was making a lot of runs yesterday and both Conor and Cucu were not passing. It felt frustrated for him. Also fun fact, Palmer lost the ball more than Mudryk yesterday. Granted, he he more touches as well, but I think Mudryk gets piled on more than he should. He needs a good coach and some patience. He shouldn't be starting at this point, that is for sure.

    Mudryk has been at the club for 18 months and has a whole team of coaches, not just Poch alone at Cobham. He has barely shown any signs of improvement all this time and I think we need to replace him. Time is up, he never took any of his chances in the team.

    He’s always been playing at that level lol you guys have to watch him play for our national team. He’s literally the destroyer, playmaker and heart of the team. He’s loves playing high up and putting pressure on the oppositions side. He’s very limited when he’s playing in the back as a CDM. Especially when he has to cover for Enzo’s mistakes. His IQ to release the ball once he wins it back almost always results in a goal opportunity. What’s the point of having a 100+ expensive player if you won’t use him to his full potential.

  • @crzeval

    @crzeval

    15 күн бұрын

    Did you actually watch the video? Your take away is that he's playing better because of the criticism??? No. He's playing incredibly well because Pochettino is finally using him as the box to box midfielder he is, with a solid midfiled partner that can drop back if needed, instead of sticking him as a static DM, covering way too much space and having no one around him.

    Hi NiiNii, Yes! Mudryk, was under par, he is not a type of player that chelsea can count on. But also i wouldn't perform better if i have Badiachile who was passing all his ball to Silva. Cucurella and Badia, are the ones whowere supposed to play mudryk but if not mistaken 70% of their passes were backward. It might discouraged mudryk but that is not the only reason. He need to go on loan and we can try another player on that wing.

    I can see Casadei or Lavia replacing Enzo if pace is needed, but rather than the pace of the league or the team, I think the biggest reason for Enzo not shining is his position, not a lack of pace. Enzo for both Argentina and Potter was playing deeper and focusing more on long passes, which is what he excels in. Even right now he is one of the league's best passers in terms of accuracy. Poch was the one who moved him up higher and turned him into a box-to-box midfielder, and that was when his productivity became inconsistent. Ironically, it's possible he may have had the right idea with the setup, had he just switched Caicedo and Enzo, which would be closer to what their national teams used them as.

    I don't think anyone questions Noni’s ability. Noni gets criticized because of the antics he does. At the beginning of the season, partying in a nightclub, antics with penalties with Palmer, then laughing with Grealish after losing the FA Cup semi when you can see how devastated Thiago was. The criticism of Noni is not unfair at all. He needs to focus on the football and let that do the talking.

    Watching Mudyrk can be very frustrating, you cam see the raw talent that he doesn't just use.... his football understanding is low, he hides from receiving a pass, even when he's in line to receive a pass is body language and position is completely wrong, You're right! His teammates don't have any trust in him and it was clear! Which makes me wonder why Poch left him on for so long cos we were playing -1 in that 2nd half...... if we had an affect left winger, we probably win that game even with the canceled goal

We’ve all seen how good this kid is with his touches, carries, footwork, hold up play,etc. we’ve all said since the beginning of the season how he must improve his finishing, the only element in his game that is missing. If Poch has not been able to get him to improve that through specific trainings, then it’s on the coach for me!

Maybe a loan would suit him and send him to a team with a coach who would improve his tactical ability and footballing brain because those are some areas which he lacks massively in. Its sad to see because i want him to do well at Chelsea.

    Has Pochettino stumbled on some interesting options for Chelsea. Caicedo/Gallagher combination needs further exploration and development. How best to build on this partnership with James and Gusto out? Chalobah/Silva is an important defensive CB partnership that needs to continue. Switching to a back 3 vs 4 and using the LB as an inside midfielder created more attacking options and less defensive exposure. It's almost as if Chelsea had a rotating triangular defensive midfield of Caicedo/Cucurella/Gallagher. Playing a more middle to right sided game vs rampaging down the left. Jackson downshifted to an inside left lane runner. Madeuke's confidence increased, especially his 1v1 efficiency. Even when double marked. AV's LB Digne needed help. Chelsea is still searching for a finishing CF. Is Pochettino open to other options?

When we were 2-0 down at halftime I tuned into Yans insta live and so many people were saying to take Noni off and move Mudryk to the 10 lmao I was like what’s wrong with you people? He’s the only person on this team who can create his own space out of nothing and beat his man. Maybe Palmer sometimes but always Noni. Yes he has to improve his temperament,decision making,and passing. He’s very young,but he has the most important skill of a winger in abundance and once you are in space,anything can happen.

    I agree with you on most things but I don't think Noni has end product ..he scored yes, but for most of his runs, his final decision still leaves most yo be desired. You wax lyrical about players when they score and ignore obvious lapses.I also think it was not fair that players were not giving Murdrik the ball. They should not punish the guy for a few missed balls, they all make mistakes, and the guy is feeling the frustration from his team mates snubbing his runs. Same as Lukaku not getting the ball but expected to score loads of goals

    Wow! My guy NiiNii is the ONLY one saying the Villa goals and attacks were from an overload on the left. Everyone else who watched the game (including all the analysts and other content creators) saw that the goals came from down the right. It just shows that one can make any narrative work if you just find the right things to say. That first goal was a crazy deflection off a great overlap move down the right by Digne and McGinn. NOTHING to do with the left side. The second goal came after Cucurella repelled Bailey's attack and the ball was recycled through the middle to the right. Trevor failed to close down Rogers and his shot creeped in at the near post. There was no purposeful overload for either Villa goal. It was a lucky deflection on one and a speculative shot on the other. Leon Bailey and Matty Cash had NO purchase down that left other than the first five minutes of the game. There was a reason Bailey had to be substituted with no shots on target and Cash wasn't able to do his marauding overlaps.
