‘We need to escape’: Government has a ‘toxic relationship’ with renewables

Sky News host Rita Panahi says the government has a “toxic relationship” with renewable energy with how it’s been pushed over the last few years.
Menzies Research Centre’s Nick Cater joined Ms Panahi to discuss the government’s dependence on renewables.
“Renewable energy is welfare-dependent as well as weather-dependent. It suffers from a condition a psychologist might recognise as dependent personality disorder,” she said.
“Nick, the way you describe this sector, you make renewables sound like some sort of a toxic relationship.
“We need to escape.”

Solar panels use some really bad chemicals during manufacture which pollute rivers near the factories and kill all fish in them, and a lot of the parts aren't actually recyclable anyway. The majority are currently made in north China forced labour camps with terrible working conditions. Basically the manufacture, labour and recycling of solar panels are terrible.

The Majority of Australians certainly don't have a love relationship with the renewable energy Con It is very evident that in just in the time frame of Federal Labor gaining power in 2002 and the introduction of Labor Net Zero Dream Australians have gone from having the cheapest reliable 24/7 power in the world to the worlds most expensive and np guarantee of reliability 24/7 in time of high usage Prices have risen about 40 percent in the past two years after wholesale costs exploded in 2023 the year of Federal Labor coming to power It is just one of the many costs since Labor was elected why ordinary Australians are suffering financial hardships

Germany which bases its energy policy on the climate delusion, the energy transition delusion and the nuclear power is unsafe delusion has the most expensive electricity of all major countries whilst Iran which did not sign the Paris Accord has the cheapest electricity of all major countries. Australia is currently basing its energy policy on the same delusional insanity as the Germans. Our electricity prices are heading in the same direction. We need to withdraw from the Paris Accord, repeal the renewable energy targets legislation and use the most economical energy resources available. Popular delusions are dangerous and can lead to economic ruin war and genocide.

There are 2 mass psychoses in operation in association with a massive fraud ( misappropriation of taxpayers money and resources into uneconomical and unreliable renewable energy projects ). This is the biggest fraud in history and is capable of bankrupting wealthy countries such as Germany and Australia.

I expect energy or power rates to go down when multi million dollar renewable energy sites are setup. Were these sites connected to anything?

I want to hear what the Greens and Labor thinks about how we dispose of the chemicals from these overly subsidised renewable sources.... the first of the wind turbines and solar panels have already been decommissioned. What are Labor-Greens going to do about these?

Trying to come up with a metric like FSLCOE or VALCOE is a pointless exercise. It will vary geographically, temporally, and with each grid. LCOEs will vary as well but no where near as much so are much more useful.

Does Murdochs press want us to stay reliant on Chinese imports. It seems that way. Australia has made many great innovations in technology but they all end up OS. Why. This is a great opportunity, to train, to manufacture, to provide more employment, why does Murdoch's press think this is a bad idea. The right wing has a very self serving and backward ideology.
