When you are working in the City, you need not actally a car. In the city i prefer a Scooter, so we can move around the city and outside.And you dont have stress for a Parking place. For longer distance, in Spain, you can take the Train or Buses or Plan, when you like to visti some Islands.
Love Seville, Granada, Andalucia and Spain in general! Fortunately, I learned early on how to drive a straight shift so when I moved to the Costa Blanca in 2006 and bought a car, it was great except for having my car confiscated twice due to traffic violations which I eventually sorted out. Unfortunately, my employer failed to obtain the documentation for me to work there legally so I had to quickly sell my car and leave. Now, I’m saving to buy a house in Spain and try to find a way to stay there permanently, if possible. Hope to cross paths with you soon.

I came from Germany to Cataluna 3 years ago. Now I am planning to buy my own house in Andalucia withing the next 1-2 years. Depends a bit on how long it takes me to find the perfect house. I totally can understand the culture that you like. The mix is just beautiful. But I have to admit that you two seem to be slowed already down to the lifestyle of Andalucia. Which is beautiful.

Hello! I’m assuming the paperwork would be different in Italy but there’s a pretty extensive list you can find online if you just search “Italy visa requirements.”
I enjoyed the video! I also want to move to Spain, I was wondering how you were able to rent a place, turn on electricity, internet, and any other utilities without a Spain ID? Can you please explain how that works? TYSM!
@Evo333
Жыл бұрын
Hi Cathy! Thank you for your comment :) So to search for rentals in Spain I recommend using the applications, Idealista and Fotocasa. Both are super user friendly and will give you a lot of information about the apt you're interested in. I don't recommend renting before you take a visit to the apt for obvious reasons! Most times, you'll be able to find something fully furnished, however electricity, wifi, gas (community) are often not included. A national ID number is usually required (NIE) and you can get that once you apply for your visa to come to Spain! I hope this was helpful. Please reach back out if you have any other questions!

This is the reason i always tell to people /friends coming from America to take driving lessons when they move to Europe. I mean,guys with all the respect,you have your driving license from USA,or latin America conturies,but most of you don't really know to drive. I have a friend from Venezuela who moved here in Spain and he found a car to buy. I drove him and another friend to the seller's place ,in Guadalajara ,he bought the car and he drove it back to our village,me following him....A disaster....He drove all the way at mostly 50KM/h,because ,,this road is full of curves and very thin'' ,being honked and forming a line of dozens of other cars behind him,he almost crashed in 2 roundabouts because he didn't knew he had to give priority to the cars already in the round....As he is stubborn as a donkey and refused to take lessons at a driving school because ,,it's humiliating,man,how would i look there surrounded by kids'',because he thot the driving school is kind of kindergarden or sh...t, i had to teach him myself, now he knows how to control the car even on ice and snow (me ,being romanian,i'm used to this as we have like 4 months each year of roads covered with ice and snow)
