This reminds me of when I used to volunteer at a wildlife rescue, and other volunteers would bring shedded hair from their rabbits or dogs as enrichment for the bobcats. It works!

... The needle felting is somehow the MOST successful cat related craft this far. They've made her sO MANY THINGS and of course the most simple one made out of her own fur gets the most supervisor approval. Remote controlled cat bed? Takes 30 years to get used to. Needle felted cat toy? Instant love.

Just a tip, get leather finger protectors for needle felting. They're a game changer. (they stop you from stabbing your fingers)

About grout: it lets the wall underneath the tiles breathe. That's why you can't use glue. Glue doesn't allow drying if (WHEN) water gets underneath the tiles. Most tiles allow water to evaporate throughout the structure and grout supports that. :)

I really enjoyed the videos where you found cool items online (like the cloud and the lamps) and then reverse engineered them for (occasionally) cheaper and would love to see more of those videos this year!

So when I worked in a bookstore, there was a book called “crafting with cat hair” that was all about ways to needlefelt with cat hair. It is absolutely a thing that some people do, enough that there is a whole book on how to do it!

Imagine if joob had her own baby. When I saw how she interacted with the toy it just reminded me of how a mom cat might interact with a kitten.

That flocked tooth brush brought back so many memories of my grandparent's bath room, EVERYthing in there was fuzzy: toilet lid cover, the weird rug around the toilet stool, the tissue box cover was blue flocked plastic that was shaped to look like it was quilted, I even recalled a cup type toothbrush holder with the outside blue flocked to match (but at least not the top?). So many things that needed to be smooth, washable surfaces!

As a dental hygienist, I wanted y’all to flock the teeth themselves 😂

And many of them use PVA (poly vinyl acetate) as a base, essentially just a stronger version of Elmer's glue. And hot glue is often EVA (ethelene vinyl acetate) glue so they're very close as a base material.

Bean cutting board is ate/10 lol! You could pour some clear over the bumpy side to retain the visual depth and texture of the beans, but also have a flat surface.

9:07 - I've actually always wanted to try this! My partner's cat, Henry, sheds SO much, so i like to brush him when I visit. Since there's so much excess hair on the brush and around the room, I like collecting the and making them into little balls. Sometimes, I'll put them on Henry's head when he's just hanging around 😂 it is amazing how well it sticks!

I'm glad I didn't skip the ad. Seeing Katelyn chuck that box was great!

"don't have access to a baby" almost implies that you would if you could 😂

So I think for future projects where you guys encase something organic in resin like a chicken nugget or this year's pumpkin project, you should dehydrate or freeze dry the item before you cover it in resin, so that the only moisture would be from the item sucking up the resin into it, making it way less likely to rot and mold over from the moisture left inside!

I tried to collect my cat's fur for spinning. Was grumpy it's too fine and the staple too short. Turns out she may be a long hair but her under coat is too wispy. So maybe for that?

I've needle felted my cats' fur! It works beautifully! I actually felted my friend's favorite kitty that passed with the fur of my cats as a gift for her. I know it seems weird, but it was nice!

Yeah, I though of this too. They could try this sometime. I first saw Nerdforge do it and was blown away. I think E&K would make an amazing job with a galaxy painting.

There is an additive you can get for grout to make it glittery. Mia Maples has used it a few times. It is not a glittery as your hot glue grout but its worth looking into if you want something like that lol. Great video guys.

Yep, and grout can be colored as well. And it's going to hold up, unlike hot glue. Hot glue grout 1/10. May have applications for something like a decorative tile trivet or something.

Love y’all’s videos! You are so clearly talented, intelligent, and adorable together! Maybe in the future you could make a video about the environment impact of resin art? It’s a super cool and beautiful craft but it also leaves a pretty big footprint, I think it would be interesting for your viewers to hear about that too. It came out so cute and it seems resourceful 🤷‍♀️ like something a crafter from ye olden days would do lol 😂 plus I think since it smelled like herself, joob was drawn to it?

At the county fair a few years ago I ran into a woman doing crafts with dog hair shed, she had spun it into yarn, with a spinning wheel, and was using it on a little loom to weave a piece of fabric, so I'm not surprised about cat hair felting.

Chiengora, 80% warmer than wool Once the dog wool is washed and scoured like you would sheep or alpaca, it doesn't smell anything like wet dog
