'We'll figure it out!' | Promises Chelsea owner Todd Boehly

"We very much believe that we're going to figure it out" claimed Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly on Wednesday when asked about the challenges he faced since buying the Blues.
It's been a wild first season under the club's American ownership with the team out of contention in all competitions at the beginning of May, a time of the season when usually they would still be fighting for silverware.
Despite an unprecedented level of spending - 630 million dollars - over the last two transfer windows, Chelsea languish in 12th place in the Premier League.
The club is being led by an interim manager, Frank Lampard, who was fired by the club two years ago but who has been brought back on an emergency basis after the departure of two coaches - Thomas Tuchel in September and Graham Potter last month - during the season.

Chelsea got rid of an evil Russian owner who ruin the club n got a new American owner who restored the glory for Chelsea to go back to where they belong. I don't understand why Chelsea fans would complain? American owner are the best thing since sliced bread.

people saying he has no idea what he is doing as if you guys did, is quite laughable like have you owned something as big as a football club or you just repeating like a parrot what you read every youtube video? if he didn't know what he was doing he wouldn't be where he is, I do not think for a minute he doesn't care for the club. He might have done some risky moves but any business requires that; he might be (or not I don't know) surrounded by people who tells him what to do, if not he should but other than that we can't say he doesn't want the team to succeed, how many years have Arsenal been moaning for cash to spend on players? is just an example but I want to believe in him as we did before with Abramovich, we are used to quick success that you forget that every other team can get better or have a good season, same way you can have bad seasons and the next one do better (first season of Conte anyone?). So stop being so basic and saying nonsense as "does he knows what he is doing" because to be where he is is fair to say he does know what he is doing.

@@Seramics well guess reading comprehension is not your forte I get it, is not for everyone, I never said he was the best owner or that is better than uncle Abramovich but he is trying I guess, if he didn't care he wouldn't have invested that much in january. Klopp had to say he didn't want to buy players in january because of lack of the owners who also happens to be americans, he got gakpo but they still needed more but didnt get a thing. I dont know if we will be back to top form and everything but at least we can't say is because the owner is not supporting the coaches.

everybody is always happy when talking about ownership (like Man Utd have right now), but to be honest, new ownership doesn't always fix every problem. Even new ownership just making more problems instead. Newcastle are the lucky ones who initially succeed with their new ownership.
Not only has this been a footballing disasterclass, it’s now likely locked into an FFP business catastrophe as well from an investment perspective. Like a first time gambler arrogantly thinking they can beat the house and quickly smashing through a huge deposit

The ignorance of an investor is mind-boggling at times. Investing "energy, effort, time" (and money) does not "clearly" make you a fan. You are just an investor trying to make money. That's fine if that is what you are. Accept it. I would accept that about you because that is what you do. Don't be a poser and say you love the game and the team. You don't. I'm sure you love all those investor "market" characteristics about CFC and the PL and London. Be honest about that. You are not a fan. And that is why over a year later you have not "figured it out". You certainly know how to invest and work accounting tricks for short-term profits, but you do not know the game, how to manage and run a football club that wins, and how to build a team. The same way a house is not a home, a stream of players bought for investment is not a team.
