'I've never seen anything CHANGE SO QUICKLY!' | Todd Boehly praises Chelsea's 'BEAUTIFUL' football

Chelsea chairman Todd Boehly said the club's plan is "coming together" as uncertainty surrounds the future of manager Mauricio Pochettino.
Speaking at a Sportico conference in Los Angeles on Wednesday, Boehly appeared to be positive about Chelsea's evolution under his stewardship and private equity firm Clearlake Capital since their takeover of the English side in May 2022.
During the interview, Boehly also took a swipe at Chelsea's critics.
“We’ve seen the last two and a half games, at least in the second half at Aston Villa (2-2 draw) and Tottenham (2-0 win) and West Ham (5-0 win) where we played just beautiful football.
“It was so fluid, it was exactly the way we drew it up, when we came out of the back, built up and moved up the pitch, (it was) very organised and the number of shots we had on board. In those two and a half games, you could really start to see what we were working on coming together.
“Even the commentary has changed over the last two and a half games. I’ve never seen anything change so quickly.”
Boehly, who is also the co-owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers, also touched on global sports icon and baseball superstar Shohei Ohtani.
"When you compare (Ohtani) and Babe Ruth, they're literally on top of each other," Boehly said.
"The only difference is that Ohtani has one more pitching win than Babe does at this point in time. So we're talking about a phenomenon. Forget generational, this is every 100 years."

I agree be should have waited until the end of the season to make these comments. Since when 2 and half games are a good enough indicator for the team? I don't think it is... however, the formation change and the cucurella tactical switch wasn't used against Arsenal, it was implemented at the second half of Aston villa. So let's give it time. 3 games to go. Let's see

Nah yeah I agree as a Chelsea fan. I still criticize our owners for some of the decisions they make, but at least the interest in bringing the club back to its former glory is there. We're already starting to improve and make something of a comeback after 1 and a half season of mediocrity. Unlike United who seem to be eternally doomed to mediocrity under the Glazers.

I really don’t get comments like this - he didn’t say anything close to what you said. No where did he say anything to effect of “problem solved”. He said he’s starting to see what they’d hoped to see from this squad - pretty certain all chelsea fans feel that way.

People interpret it in a certain way and a narrative is created entirely different from original. People all around the internet mindlessly fall victim to this. I don't judge them entirely because its obviously a well built trap and its not your fault to believe what you see. But the fault in people is why participate in a topic you aren't aware of? If you think you need to comment on something, then take your time, and watch the video then pass your judgement.

Why do I get the feeling Todd is limited with football knowledge. He is however interested in the brand Chelsea. I feel it's just a business to him. And he has not heart for premiership football. It's a means to an end and that's it. It's not all about money Todd, and the sooner you learn that the sooner fans will follow you and the team.
