    One very useful skill is knowing how to fit and repair a distributor. and set the static timing. If you are still running a points. ignition that is a critical skill for remote touring. Also be careful with how much weight you put on the back door. They are not the strongest thing ever. You could fit a 3rd door hinge to beef it up.

  • @KendallandGlenn

    @KendallandGlenn

    We have electric distributor which simplifies things a bit haha. And yeah I was thinking of adding another hinge on that back door, thanks for the advice!

    If the magnets on the overhead cabinets aren't strong enough when you are off roading, you might consider using sailboat cabinet latches. More $$, but pretty easy to install and use. Also I have a collapsible ladder like yours, be careful as it's easy to pinch a finger when collapsing it back down! Also nice job! It looks amazing!

    What a great job you've done guys! It looks so tidy... no knobs or latches, monotone decor, smooth surfaces... makes for no visual clutter. I feel like you have made smart choices in this build.. it is really well thought out. I guess that comes from experience. You already know what works for you.. Questions, though.. 1. Is the bidet/tap also your shower? 2. How much water can you carry? 3. Glenn, are you wearing Kendall's shirt???

  • @KendallandGlenn

    @KendallandGlenn

    Жыл бұрын

    Thanks so much! A lot of thought has been put into this build and we’re so happy with how it turned out. We can use the tap for a quick shower but our water tank is only 36L so we’ll only use it for a shower if we’re close to a fill up tap. We’re thinking of putting another water tank underneath but that’ll be down the line. It’s actually Glenn’s shirt! I (Kendall) just wear it all the time haha

  • @KendallandGlenn

    @KendallandGlenn

    Жыл бұрын

    Great questions! No need for a toilet. Seating is super comfy inside, and we have a throw to sit on outside however we will be investing in chairs soon. We had chairs with our previous set up for a couple of years but found we rarely used them. haha. Silly I know, however we are keen to get a couple of decent ones the new set up! As for national parks, we just either have to avoid them, or get someone to watch Leo if we really want to go in

    We’ve found pros and cons to both really! But having it out the back is actually handier for car parks, with the van we always had to try to score a spot on the side which was hard sometimes. It really depends!
