@@ruthrees Wow, so many places to choose from! San Salvo we know 😉 Sorry the weather is not great to see properties, but I believe it's best to see it gloomy and if you like a place even like that then you're onto something! I'm so glad we can inspire others ☀️

I love watching your videos so much! I am from Newcastle Australia too and my retirement dream is to move to Italy and buy a perfect little house in a rural hilltop town and just wander through Italy at my leisure 😊. Keeps me motivated to work hard knowing only 25 more years to grind until I can achieve the same dream life you guys have ❤ you are amazing people for sharing your beautiful life with us, thank you!

I have lived here 20 years
We are thinking if leaving Melbourne which became a totally different city after covid. Italy is the country we would consider . Thank you for your video . ❤❤❤

We totally understand where you're coming from. Unfortunately Australia overall had a 180 degree change during this period. Things there got very nasty, very quickly

Did you apply for citizenship?
Are you both Italian? My wife and I dreamed of moving to Greece, She was born and raised here, I am from Greek parents. In 2002 we decided to build a home on land that I inherited. God was that a big mistake! Crooked contractors. Even bigger mistake, moving here with our daughter. Nothing but empty promises from the Greek embassy, an education system that is stuck in the past and corrupt that failed in giving her a proper education with thousands spent on private lessons that were needed because the teachers here are lazy. Racism that my daughter had to live through. Name calling and assault. Bitter we are but we will make it. After all Aperol and Compari are bitter yet when you mix it with the right ingredients one makes something fantastic.
