I understand why you had those problems, trying to please backers plus make a new game that newer players wanted. I was excited to see we happy few narrative elements where I know now that element will be kept for your next game. I'm excited! Congratulations on not being held back by financial problems now and can finally just do what ur good at- making games! Congratulations!

I Love everything We Happy Few. The lore, the art, the characters, etc. You have built something so unique and special. This is Compulsion Games second game ever made and they are not letting up on the craziness of their games. Can't wait to see what else they have planned.. Definitely has become a badass cult-classic.

I have so many thoughts right now: - Thank You for making We Happy Few the game it was, with all its highs and lows - I´m sad that it´s the end for We Happy Few but I guess you deserve doing something else and looking into the future - I like to see how you think about the game and the studios history in retrospective - And it´s very interesting to see your perspective on the players reaction and I kind of feel sorry about putting to much pressure on you - Also I totally understand what you said about the last DLC and how it somehow is the game you wanted to make in the first place I still would like to see more of We happy Few even if it´s not a game (maybe a comic book or something) and wish you guys all the best!

I hope you read this. I just got reminded of this documentary when browsing through which channels I was subscribed to and I really want to congratulate you on We Happy Few. I can easily say We Happy Few is my favorite game of all time, I have played many games (GTA, Skyrim, The Witcher, etc.) but this wasn't just a game it was a masterpiece of a story. I can safely say I have never been more gripped to a story in a game, book or even movie. The world you created and lore behind it got me wanting more from the start, as a matter of fact, I still remember when your very first trailer was announced before the Kickstarter and I regularly checked for updates and later on gave feedback on all most all of your community updates here. The DLC's also was amazing and helped fill in the blanks in the story which was amazing to discover and play through. The soundtrack was easily the best I've heard in a game too, I was waiting for its release on streaming platforms for around a year. The fact that you started off as such as a small team with financial strain and grew to what you are now is commendable. I loved every second I played of the game bug or no bug I found to be brilliant and every person on your team should be proud. I am going to be studying a Game Development degree next year and watching this video really inspired me. Thanks for the amazing game all at compulsion, keep on going!

I'm absolutely enthralled by every single part of it and while I'm incredibly sad I couldn't have supported it the entire way (didn't have the money) I'm grateful I get to play it at all. It's been getting me through a lot and anyone who knows me, knows I never shut up about the game. I've met some really wonderful people because of it and I'm?? Thank you for sharing your thoughts and perspectives on the side of being a development team. Even from a professional gamer stand point, there are so many things we take for granted as players and I don't think we really know the gravity of what a small team or even a large team goes through...so this video was able to shed some light on that. I just recently bought "we happy few" so I am excited to see what it has to offer, especially now after seeing this video. "all criticism is true, no solution will likely work" (paraphrasing but this was a great line , I will always remember that). Good luck to your future endeavors ...

The soundtrack for the game hit and I just started grinning from ear to ear, and swaying back and forth. Everything about this game fills me with joy. The art, the music, the story. It has been such a treat to play, and I've enjoyed every moment of it. The varying play styles of all the main characters add new challenges, as well as having fresh perspective of the story itself. The add-ons are equally as fun, with their own unique dynamics, and those too adding to the story of this strange and entrancing world. I am simply in love. I am so happy to have found it and I look forward to seeing what comes next for your wonderful little studio. When devs have passion, it shows in their games. And that, more than anything, is what makes games truly special and memorable.

Compulsion Games were looking for Character Designers just a couple months back. There will be a sequel to WHF, but for now they want to focus on a new world/universe. I feel like we're not getting a game until the end of 2022 or beginning of 2023 and I think I remember hearing C.G's next game will be a Microsoft Exclusive, so if you are a PlayStation person, like me, you might want to buy the Xbox Series X. I will buy the new Xbox, just so I will be able to play their next game and their next 'We Happy Few' game. Sucks I won't be able to play Spider-Man 2, but Fuck it. 😤😅

This was such a great video :) I got the game four days ago and am already almost done with all of it ❤ I’m wishing you guys luck on South of Midnight! I’m going to buy it as soon as I can 🎉 We Happy Few might be one of my favorite games of all time. It does have value, and it was indeed a very memorable experience :) If this was a movie or a book as well I would constantly rewatch it and reread it! Just imagine a second game where it shows the perspective of Percy and his story/experience! I would totally love to play as him and see what his fate ultimately ended up being. It could even explore his skills and make use of them like his love for Latin, smarts in botany, etc. Even if it was just a short DLC, I bet a lot of people would still love it :) especially with your guys newer found knowledge in video game making/production! It could be a killer story! The creative team could definitely turn it into something grand ❤ And yes, I know it’s already at its end. But I’m just rambling on about pretty nice things that could happen hypothetically haha (Also, Cheer Up is such a wonderful song. The whole album is! Literally wonderful work. I wish you well! Never stop creating!)

I am actually writing an essay for my masters degree about modern representations of the dystopian settings which show that they still draw elements from classics such as Brave New World and I'd just like to say I now have an even deeper appreciation for We Happy Few as it was the main modern example which I did deep critical analysis of. Every feature of this dystopian society is thought out with so many cultural references, with such vivid realisation, this game really is a work of art, I can't wait to see what happens next or what Compulsion Games tackles next!

Never thought five years could be that fast! Feel honored to travel along the way with you guys in WHF. Really love Contrast and WHF. Love the thoughts about the war impacts and characters with flaws. The storytelling is compelling and really help me to read and think a lot. Thank you for all the efforts! Hope you can all rest well and good luck with the next project:D

I bought into the Early Access... early on. This game was so unique and had plenty worth experiencing even if aspects weren't perfect. I was very surprised by the more negative takeaways people had. Feel like this is an underappreciated work. Good job.

I think it was the mainly undelivered promises. What was promised for kickstarters and the beginning, was VASTLY different from what the game eventually became and alot of people remember the bugginess and never went back to give it a chance. Personally I was dissapointed into what the game became, and also the fact that they sold their soul to Gearbox because they had no idea how to handle money.

@@SquealingPig1651 I learned of WHF in 2016, but never paid much attention to it. What was it meant to be in comparison to what it became? Also, I don't want to sound like I'm making excuses for Compulsion, but I think they sold out to Gearbox because it was the only way to really make something more of their game. Get it more attention, funding and stuff like that.

We happy few is the type of game that will last generations like zelda mario gta etc. How I started my son on games I grew up on he will most likely use this game starting his children to games.

Saw this on the Xbox channel but had to comment here too. The transparency and honesty is so refreshing, as well as being honest as the reactions your games have gotten. The fact you all acknowledge this AND all the good that came out of those projects solidifies my trust in that your next game will be awesome! I'm genuinely looking forward to what all you talented people come up with!!
