We Happy Few - Uncle Jack's Last Tape (3 Versions)
Ойындар
Spoilers if you haven’t played and finished We Happy Few.
The first clip is the video that plays when Ollie and Margaret first watch Uncle Jack's last broadcast tape, unfortunately there's no audio without their voices included.
The second is what is actually broadcast to Wellington Wells and is unique in that it's seen in colour (at least in the studio) and shows Jack going mad and eventually smashing the camera (the static was added by me).
The third, which is audio only, may have been the first iteration of Jack's breakdown. It's very similar to the first, but instead of warning everyone and then going mad, Jack simply breaks down and weeps.
0:07 1st tape
3:17 2nd tape
5:07 Unused audio only tape

I love the subtext of Jack saying "Sometimes you take too much joy and cant remember where everything is, can you?" foreshadowing the twist of Ollie's past joy abuse making him misremember where and how the events of his life took place with Margarete. And the last line being "But you won't will you?" talking directly to the people on joy but also indirectly to Ollie doubting if he's even moral enough to do the right thing. Further reflecting into Ollie's realization of being a terrible person and all the doubts he now has about himself.

It was also a reference to how Joy overdose worked in the earliest builds Basically when you took too much, you "died" and restarted at the beginning.
The voice listened to by many finally realizes the truth, and attempts to get one desperate message off to Wellington Wells. You can't stop the signal.
I feel bad for Jack to be completely honest. Taking too much Joy can REALLY put you on Edge, with or without it. It ain't nice to forget, even if you wanted to...
4:46 This is when you relize he is playing the voice actor for the bobbies
Imagine that years later, somebody found the tape somewhere in the abandoned studio! That would be the subject of an in-universe creepypasta!

@@MrLisreal Yes and no, Uncle Jack only went downer a few months before the game, not years. I’d imagine what he’s envisioning is the tape being stumbled across years to decades later after everyone has either left or died.

@@MrLisreal Yeah, but I meant like years after the game when Wellington Wells was destroyed and only explorers go there now.
When Jack talked about his daughter you could hear the increase of pain in his voice understanding he kinda lost it
A good person always warned the truth, about why and how the community and other idiots screwed up everything. - Any person dystopia aware.
It's scary seeing a man who's famous on tv who was all happy and joyful breaking down mid-film and disappearing
"Ignorance is bliss.." But, I believe there's more to it... "Ignorance is bliss, but the truth can set you free."
I was wondering why nobody uploaded these. Good work.
I love how his catchphrase took on a darker meaning during his last moments. We've indeed come to the end of our time.
Thanks for this! I've got 39 films in my "theatre" so far, but it would be great to have access to all the game's videos online, I'm actually surprised they're not already. Maybe they could be found in the game's directory in whatever format and translated into something a bit more friendly.
The Performance is brilliant ❤❤

Yeah same, personally I loved the first game and the dlc's and I think a second we happy few should be made so the story can progress.
"We've come to the end of our time"
Oh no! Uncle Jack is off his Joy! 😱
This game was a masterpiece
The Revolution was televised
The 3rd one seemed the best honestly
this game is so underated especially how amazingly it mirrors our society now everyone is on some kind of perscription "joy"
Oh no.
The third one sounds scarier and more realistic
Ngl it would be pretty good if they made a dlc on jack
I've looked in E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\WeHappyFew\GlimpseGame\Content\Movies\Collectibles (drive E: on my computer, probably C: on yours, or do hard drives even have a letter name for them any more?) This contains 45 videos, I dunno where the 80-ish in the Theatre option come from. Other folders I suppose. What's annoying is that some of them have no sound, and many others *have* sound but it doesn't play for some reason. It says it's playing, just no noise comes out my speakers. Yes they're wired up fine and make the right noises with other software and videos. Anyway... it would be nice to have these put up on KZread if you could figure out how to play them. The game running on Linux might turn out to be a big advantage.

Most of the vids are actually silent, you eould need to find their audio and sync them together. That's what I did on my other video with all of Uncle Jack's broadcasts, except I used the radio audio instead of the TV one.
