I like to think that this whole dlc is about Nick being in purgatory and he comes to terms with his sins and redeems himself.

It does seem that way with Nick ascending at the end. Foggy Jack is an interesting choice though for an antagonist if Nick is trying to redeem his own sins. I would almost think Nick was Foggy Jack if there wasn’t so much evidence for Foggy Jack being Uncle Jack.

I actually like to think it might of been a test of some sort to see if he can return to the living proving that he can change but I do believe the he's dead and he's moving on is a more solid theory than mine

I would like to think that too - that he may be in a coma and fighting his way back. If there is ever a We Happy Few 2 I would love to see more Nick Lightbearer in a redemption arch.

Personally I thought he was only temporary dead until he is brought back to life at the end. Either by doctors, or got electrocuted again and it jumpstarts his heart

I wanted to believe that he was alive and just dreaming but at the end you see another version of him in a bathtub the same way he was in at his home.

True, optimistically though that could have been part of the dream.

I wonder if the “I Have Seen Everything” lyrics were alluding to the Joy epidemic or Lightbearer’s journey

It could be both. It also seems to fit in with Verloc’s permanent solution with it being all or nothing.

I would like to think he is alive but is only in a coma, if a we happy 2 comes out it would be good to see a poster of him showing his new Nick.

I think this takes place before because they talk about foggy jack being arrested and at the end of the dlc foggy jack gets arrested so maybe he is dead

I actually asked the pr manager of compulsion if Nick was dead when Arthur saw him. She said he didn't die.

When it comes to who's right about Nicks fate, I'm more inclined to believe the one with medical/chemical knowledge and was off Joy longer.

My point of view was that the dlc happened before he took a bath, but that would be one of many dark endings to someones story in this game

So this DLC is like Dante’s inferno
