Lol, I was thinking: "none of them asked for the envelope before running" 😅
@taltal1122
There's no better way to demotivate people than promise them a prize and not deliver because of bored management shenanigans
@shxdowz5321
The first thing I noticed was that neither received an envelope 😂
@mik1of3
I’ve never worked in hospitality, but my first thought was… “ there’s no room 3567.” I’ve worked with enough managers to know they can be sneaky like that.
@SongFusionJB
The way to make them wake up and pay more attention 😂
@andrewcarusoii7947
Yeah, I don’t have time for petty management tricks. When the manager starts doing this, I start looking for a new job. Manager needs a hobby. 😂
@Sabareen221
I honestly wanted one of the front desk staff to actually know that it was a trick and stay behind and watch the others panic. Would've been funny.
@ashleyparkhurst4848
I knew the minute she said the number.
@ivanhall6482
And that would be my two week notice. This aint grade school
@samcherry1996
This is such a typical customer service manager thing to do. Belittle and treat your employees like your play things because you're bored, just to make a point that could have been politely and reasonably adressed in a meeting.
@Donleecartoons
Had a newsroom boss who liked to pit the staff against each other.
@patrickpromen3605
"To never trust management to not treat you like a show animal? Or, you know, ever?"
@ellicooper2323
Didn’t the 3500 number give them a clue since they don’t have 35 floors?
@HabbaBabbaPanda
I would have spent the entire day getting paid, looking DILEGENTLY for the room, because why would management lie? That's improper use of authority and innefficient use of resources, and my management would never do such a thing. Lol
@deeeebeeeee
There are any number of reasons an employee would temporarily forget their own work structure. What if they’re sleep deprived? Emotionally exhausted? Drained? I’m seeing a lot of comments have no empathy for the employees, but many people would refuse to take similar behavior standing from a manager. Especially one who is so condescending about it in the process. You trap more flies with honey and all thatz
@demetrinight5924
I know the layout of the hotel I work at. I would have let the other employees run off and ask the manager why she was sending us to a room that doesn't exist.
@254_Richie
How they all ran to look for the room without the envelope 😂😂😂😂💔💔🤦
@jeffreyclinard2002
No hard feelings. I'll just put a note of the wasted time in the hotel log before I left.
